The Far Cry 3 Service is not available

I just got the game and I got this error so I can't get my Uplay things and stuff like that. Thats all I want to do but I can't because of this error. How do I fix "The Far Cry 3 Service is not available, Please try again later." message. If you can help, that would be very appreciated!

and I got the digital deluxe edition. so this is kinda disappointing

Hey The48db, you likely need to update your Uplay client. Please close the client, go to uplay.com, and download a fresh version. Install it and try again. If you still get the error, let me know.

It didn't do anything... What else can I try? I don't want to reinstall my game because I don't want to lose all my progress, I just finished the game.

you wont lose anything BACK UP YOUR SAVE file cut and paste it back where it should go

shut off the uplay cloud save setting i always do , and make manual backups to a thumb drive

even works to transfer your saved games to another PC

    see this page https://support.ubi.com/en-US/Faqs/D...p-my-save-game

also when ya uninstall Uplay it gives you the option to keep your saved games in place (in case you did not know )

then simply reinstall Uplay from the page vertigo told ya to go to

(make a backup FIRST just in case ya goof some thing up )

the uplay service is up and running make sure you dont have any ports blocked that the game or uplay need ..check your cable modem , router , windows firewall as well as any antivirus or personal firewall software you installed

details on ports that need acess can be found on the Ubisoft Support site here
    https://support.ubi.com/en-us/Faqs/0...-Issues-PC-FC3

but no you should not lose anything in most cases .. if ya make a backup of your save files ...you got no worries

Did all this and I'm still getting this error. How nice of Ubisoft to put games on sale that don't even work. Not a happy camper right now.

Single player works for me in Blood Dragon and FC3, but anything that requires Uplay (i.e. premium content, multiplayer, etc.) won't work because the "service is not available".

I'll try to get in touch with them directly.
