There is like i said above massiv flicker shadows most casted from trees on grass in the whole scenery u see it everywhere.
This flickering also casts on buildings but more on grass yeah because there are more trees and it looks very bad.
The main aspect why this problem is showing is because the resolution of shadow goes unsharpen in close range u see
the sharpen line on moving forward very good its the same like bordlerands 2 and other ones.

Edit: Best to say what the shadow of tree leaves does is to tremble/shake not from the movement
from wind. The shadows move with wind but with tremble/shake effect and this looks like flickering.
And on aiming the shadows tremble more and together with the other effect but not from all shadows.
Ill tried to disable every effect and tried every setting but it still appears like i read its an issue from the game engine.
This issue cant be solved only by making better resolution for shadows and its not the fault of SSAO i tested all of it by
disableing this feature manualy. I really dont know how to make this better except to set shadows on minimum or disable
it completely but i hope you devs can figure out some solutions for it.
Ps: I dont use SLI its not SLI flickering its a graphical issue an not cause from my hardware ill tested this on four
different hardware settings including two different monitors and televsion and one laptop.
It is caused from bushes too and its not shadow movement its really flickering and there are two ways of flickering.
The first is when im looking around and the second is without any movement, no aiming or else it also flickers
but on rare situations shadows works normaly but most doesnt
Its in far and close range this makes no different, maybe this shadows on grass acts like dynamic and maybe you can fix this
with let the tree shadows dynamic but that what casts on grass make it no dynamic. Its only an idea and dont know if it
really helps but this flickering is annoying because its everywhere where a tree or bush is located.

hmm thats not the issue i have, im only have some tremble/shake effect from the shadow from tree leaves cast on grass and
objects (not surface) u have some troubles with the dynamic shadows i think an can be caused from drivers or else
i dont know it really.
Do you have your issue everywhere or only on some rare parts ?

i have some shadow cast bug too some shadows on stones and other objects are not present only if you get really close they begin to cast,
i looks terrible when shadows going from unsharp to sharp and pixel all over the area bit not present shadow are really bad and then
this flickering is very bad and gamebreakable. But ok most things i can accept what i can not accept are these fps issue that i cant get 40-50
smooth and fluid fps with an Asus Gtx 670 DC2 Top this card runs sometimes better that an gtx 680 stock card but dont hanlde this game.
Most videos i see let me think that this patch 1.01 ruins the game and now i must play with 25-30 fps with lags and stutterning.
I mean really thank you for this nice game i like it in many ways last night i cant stop to laugh on playing with the enemies but you
should retake your patch when you see it ruins the game or at least delete this feature what ruins the fps its a lot easier then find
the issue for a new patch. The only think whats important now is that we player can play the game and not to wait for patching.
Okay i got this same annoying problem. Identical to yours. Trembling shacking shadows that look really ugly in the distance and even close up. Changing nvidia control panel settings doesnt do much as does changing the game to dx 9. VVEYLAND please if you find a solution let me know and can people please turn their attention to this thread. Im starting to wonder whether this issue is simply caused by a fault in my graphics card seeing as no one else has the issue. VVeyland PM me your steam details so we can solve this easier.
im sure i dont find anything ill tested near all things i can and this issue comes from the engine and i really i hope tehy fix this soon and this
bad perfomance too. Ill stoped now playing because with this issues i dont want to play it, now i get an mission bug in "kicking the hornets nest"
2 of 5 Pod farms are already burned down but not from me and all other pod farms dont count on burning them down so i cant play through story.
Ill submited the shadow problem to one of ubisofts devs so they know about it
