    Reading all these issues...

Really makes me unexcited for the game

Should I pre-order it on Xbox 360 instead of PC? I haven't purchased it on Steam yet, it does come out in the U.S. until the 4th of December so I have a few days. Is it worth getting on PC despite the huge amount of bugs, crashes, and bad performance, or should I just get it on console?

Thanks in advance. I'm bummed out now.

Works like a charm on PC for me, no problems what so ever (besides the fact that AI cheats in Poker :P). Just installed the game, inserted the key into Uplay and BAM, click & play!

Well that sure is reassuring. Where did you purchase the game from, digital or physical disc?

Also, if you don't mind sharing your rig set-up I'd be greatly appreciative!

Got key from a friend that I just registered in Uplay, and downloaded the game directly there.

    Im running:
    CPU: I7 2600K @ 3.4ghz
    GPU: GTX590 (310.64)
    RAM: 8GB

Only thing I'v disabled is Multisampling AA and vsync.

I'm assuming you're from the EU? Thanks for the info though!

Surprisingly (because usually sh*t knows how to find me), about the same here :
got the insane edition yesterday from Amazon, installed, self-updated, inserted key, played
(OK. got one BSOD, but it's a classic X79 RAID driver related and has nothing to do with this particular game - gotta stop using RAID5 with this chipset...).
Full DX11, even kept Vsync on, and MSAA set to x2.
    (Core i7 3820, HD7970 (12.10))
The game is totally gorgeous, reactive, enjoyable, mind blowing (great soundtrack, great characters (voice acting, facial expressions, speech), great sound effects, gameplay, etc. etc.).

Console port I read in some whines ? Ok, you're angry when you're on the trouble side; but no...
Machinima said it's Skyrim with guns, but not so on the UI side... Perhaps not the most user friendly, but not disturbing enough to not enjoy the game (the core is quite similar to Far Cry 2, from what I remember).
And the graphics ? Ok... Next gen console maybe...
Honestly, don't buy this on console if you have a PC with a decent graphic card.
Even if you encounter troubles, the software will evolve and be fixed. The (nowadays) ancient hardware of the current consoles won't.

I suppose you're right. Going to hold off a couple more days since I have until Tuesday anyway. I hope things get sorted out on the PC end because the optimization is kind of all over the place right now, but I'm hopeful it'll work out and I'll end up getting it on PC where it'll look better.

You generally don't hear from all the people that it worked perfectly for.
