    Hi Ubisoft.
    Im pulling my hair out.
It all started when I wanted to craft dual holsters. Found out that I needed to get Ellen the tailor. So after trying to find her in New York... unsuccessfully... I went on to try and find her at the homestead.
Unsuccessful again I was. Anyways.... This is but one issue I have... which had lead me onto another problem.
After finishing the story... I had went on to try and figure out whatever it was I may have missed.... Now...
NOW, I dont have a horse whistle.
It is NOT in the tool wheel. Upon fast travelling ANYWHERE, I then CANNOT call my horse ( as I used to with such ease) .... It is simply GONE.
It has disappeared completely form the game.... HOWEVER...
Upon loading up an older save game, one which isn't finished, the horse whistle is magically there again.
Now.... I'm quite possibly (more than likely) missing something here... But I have NO IDEA what to do. Even after many arduous hours of scouring the internet and youtube... NOTHING of substance to solve my issue has shown up. I even re installed the game... through Steam.
    Hence...
    IM PULLING MY HAIR OUT.
    So to summarise:
1: How can I get Ellen the Tailor?... More so,.... other artisans so that I can start playing with the crafting?... Is there a point in the game where you cannot do certain things if you've gone past a certain point?
2: WHERE THE HECK HAS MY HORSE WHISTLE GONE FROM THE TOOL WHEEL??????
I'm at my wits end... and even the internet has failed me. Which i never thought possible.
    Please reply...
    yours sincerely,
    "The guy who's going bald".

Ok I have AC3 for my PS3 and I just recently bought it for my PC since my TV busted, but when I completed sequence 1&2 then 6 I did not get the unlock for the action, I have uninstalled and am currently reinstalling it via steam , so its slow as sin due to the fact I have 400 kbs.

when I went to play the Washington DLC I get a unable to connect to ubisoft servers, so I'm S.O.L. on playing the dlc I spent 15 bucks for.

I also have Ezio's armor unlocked but does not show up in my basement at the manor.

when is this problem going to be fixed cause I read on the Steam forums this is a on going problem.
and no one has responded on it

    OK.... I am done !!!!
I have just bought ACIII and I am disgusted. The game keeps crashing in Boston, as so many others have reported, with the screen freezing for 4 secs then going to black screen with a reboot required. Now, before anyone says it ...yes I do easily meet the minimum requirements but...... I not only have a ATI Radeon 5650 video card but also a Realtek soundcard too....apparently that's a double whammy when it comes to driver issues, although I have never had any troubles in with ANY other game. Yes..... I have the latest drivers and have even tried underclocking, voltage changes via afterburner and installing the Rage driver...and yes I do have a laptop which I understand is "Not a supported" system. I still have an issue with this whole game however, I don't get how you can play flawlessly in multiplayer with the graphics fairly high and yet Ubisoft can stand behind the facade of ...."oh well you don't have a supported system". ACI and II both play flawlessly and yes I know this is kinda a 'Next gen' game but honestly it feels to me as if there were multiple teams making this game and the Boston story mode/single player team really...I mean really..... dropped the ball. I think the Multiplayer graphics are far superior to the Boston single player/story mode anyway, Is it just me?.
It also doesn't make sense that I can play Multiplayer for hours and yet single player mode crashes...only in Boston...if it was crashing at seq01 at the Opera house or on the ship going to Boston I might understand it...but it doesn't. I believe this is a super screw up by the Ubisoft team. Yeah, ok, I don't have the latest Alienware computer specs but I do meet minimum requirements so I should be able to play the game. I have read every one of the 55 pages in this thread and it is obvious I am not the only one affected here. Sure, many of you out there do not have issues, however, if Ubisoft says, spec wise, I should be able to play the game ...then I should be able to do just that.
Here's the thing. A few years ago I remember loading a game and once again the Ubisoft symbol came up. I remember shaking my head in awe thinking "Good grief, Ubisoft are going to rule the world" (meaning how in awe I was of all the quality games they were putting out) and a few seconds later adding in my mind the statement..."if THEY don't screw it up". Well it looks like they may be rolling down that rabbit hole. No, not just because of this game but I see AC4BF is having issues too and the long awaited game 'Watchdogs" that was supposed to have been released in November 2013 has now been bumped to a 2014 'Spring' release. That's massive, they have been working on that game for nearly two years, and yet it is so far from release they have to bump it 5 months??? That surely shows us there is something not quite right at the Ubisoft headquarters. Can you imagine being the CEO of Ubisoft and hearing that news, imagine being the one who has to tell the CEO !!!. Anyway, I won't waffle on anymore but honestly...it does make me hesitate quite a bit before reaching in my pocket and pumping more money into this company. The sad part is...I think there are many fans out there who, in the back of their mind, are thinking the same thing.

    Nat problems and name change

    Hello and thanks in advance,

Just bought AC3 and decided to have a crack at the multiplayer, I can get into free for all games but nothing else (either due to population or connection).

But the main problem is my NAT (always been strict), so, I have tried to port forward Ubisoft Launcher and AC3 of which ports I could find.

Tried wired, tried everything up until this point, I have Fiber Optic too. Don't know what else to do.

Also how do you change your Ubisoft name, mine is like guest-xxxxxxx and it looks horrible. (seems they didn't take a leaf out of steams book so you can choose what you want when you want)

Thanks. Urgent. (posted elsewhere in the forums but no response in 3 days)

I installed AC3 from steam yesterday and when I entered the game, I found so many black lines all over the screen. Can anyone give me some advice? Thanks!

I just solved it by adjusting the anti-aliasing quality... I changed it from ultra high to high. But what's going on?

"So I'm getting stuck at Davenport Homestead in a mission which required me to go and fetch wood to rebuild the Aquila. When I enter the stockpile screen to purchase the wood I cannot leave the menu. After buying the wood it doesn't allow me to backspace out, nor can I use esc. I can still move my mouse freely however."

I have the exact same problem!

Any help? By Googling, I've found that at least a few others are crashing in the same place.
I'm having the same problem. Tried to re-install, tried to update my drivers but it always crashes on the opening scene of the naval mission NORTHWEST PASSAGE.
