The Uplay is now Far Cry 3 is a list of Rewards and actions to unlock for Uplay points:

Actions:

First Blood
Survive in the wilderness and evade pirates. 10 Uplay points
Needle Exchange
Craft 25 syringes. 20 Uplay points
Jungle Journal
Unlock 50 entries in the Handbook. 30 Uplay points
Higher Than a Kite
Use your wingsuit to reach the Southhern island. 40 Uplay points


Rewards:

Far Cry3 Wallpaper
A Far Cry 3 Theme for PC. 10 Uplay points
Tatto Pack
Far Cry 3 Exclusive Tattoos for the tatto Editor in Mulitiplayer. 20 Uplay points
Revolving gift
Special weapon Cannon handgun for Singleplayer. 30 Uplay points (Big revolver caliber magnum with a lunette)
Exclusive Assignment
Exclusive Singleplayer mission "Testing Unit". 40 Uplay points

Oh how I hope that you actually get a wingsuit for the second half of the game and not just for a quick cut-scene to get to the other island...

You do, it was confirmed in the Hurk mission gameplay footagge. At one point the player does a rather large jump/fall and it says something like "Press B to engage Wingsuit" or whatever. So it seems like it can be used at will.

Right now it´s only shown in the Uplay PC Client.

btw: The "handcannon" is a scoped revolver.
