    How to mute people?

In multiplayer, people seem to flaunt the fact that they have super loud microphone's and that they know the lyrics to a lot of Ricky Martin songs. My question is, how can I mute such people? Thanks.

I wish I knew. Look at my username, I'm pretty sure you know what nationality I am. One time playing Brotherhood, there was this group of people flat out talk mock Chinese in a nasty way. When I won, it just went downright offensive.

Yea, they need to implement a mute feature, at the least. I shouldn't have to mute my monitor every time some idiot thinks that it's karaoke night on PSN. Especially considering my monitor does not have a remote, so I'd have to go through a menu to mute the sound, all the while my teammates or my score is depending on me.

could you not just go to list of recent players and mute them? This used to be an option, was it removed with the most recent XBL update?
    nvm, you're on PS3. D'OH! carry on.

Yeah, I don't even see it being that easy in XBL though. It grays out the screen, takes a while on the PSN to correlate who the idiot is making all the noise. Why not an in-game function? I'm asking too much? I haven't been a fan of multiplayer from the get-go. I heard they were making some good changes this year, and decided a $10 uplay pass was worth the time. If some shmuck with a loud mic and adolescent voice-cracking wants to ruin it for everyone, why argue?
I guess on the plus side, doing it through PSN will mean you won't be able to hear them in future maps.

During a session press start then select to go to lobby list, then select the person and mute them from the options. The ones with microphone icons next to their names are the ones on mic. In most lobby screens you can just press select to get to the lobby list.

Yep, thats it. I find myself doing it a lot, especially when theres a underage brat (yes, although the game is 18+ theres a lot of naughty children that play it :/) whinning or with background noises.
