It's good to hear that you are relatively unphased, Wernher. I reckon that you live a little ways inland. Those folks on the coast line got hammered pretty hard.
I slept through the higher wind event in this area last night. Sumps have been working overtime in my basement. Bloody thing leaks like a sieve when the water table rises. Our well guy said that we have an underground aquifer running below tthe house and our well will never run dry. He was proven right during the drought some years back. We had water throughout that event. Even when the neighbors were sucking mud. The only down side to it is some seepage into the basement during prolonged rains.

If you click on the link below, you can view a high resolution movie of the storm. You may (or may not) need the Apple Quicktime movie viewer to see it. Just look at the massive size of this storm! It now seems to have stalled out over western Pennsylvania, just spiraling in place. I'm not sure if the weather experts know exactly where it's going to go from here, since I can no longer find tracking info and nobody seems to be saying anything for certain. I sure hope it doesn't swing back eastward.

Nice video Wern. It looks like it reached us more than I thought it would. We did get some high winds. Had a few trees down, that's about it. Nothing like you got.

LOL Sandy. It's good to see that you are ok. Even if you did have to scuba to work.
At least we didn't see the father and son Bush wankers fishing from a boat in the middle of Times Square like they did in downtown New Orleans after Katrina.
