Windows XP is really bad with multi-core processors. So every PC gamer today probably have at least dual core processor and Windows 7 is far better with resource usage and Windows 8 is even better than Win 7 (minus bad UI for desktop PC) I am now using Win 7 but i will buy Win 8 because i am eligible for 15$ offer an that is something i wont miss
I am also glad that Win XP is going in retirement in gaming industry. This fall/winter there is no AAA game that uses DX9.
Nonsense windows xp has no problem with multicore processors and its an old OS but people still use it, why lock out all thoose people that pass the minimum specs and they cant play it? Problem is that even if u buy new windows u mightaswell upgrade your entire computer with more ram, better cpu etc since games are gonna be more demanding since u cant play on dx9 mode. And if you want to sell as many copies as possible on pc there is no reason not to include xp i never understood why pc makers demand that everyone must be on newest windows. I use old xp cause i play alot of older games and the combatibility is unmatched for that. Game should run on XP with minimum specs but it could be not supported or something if it crashes or whatever.. and its weird they patched the latest Ghost recon game to run on xp after release a few weeks i remember so why not just add support from day1?
Windows XP is 11 years old. So it's pretty in IT world. According to Steam Hardware Statistics only 13% of Windows users still use XP. And this number is going down really fast. If you are using PC for playing new games you had to change your system. Most of the games from past years requires DX10+ to set highest graphic settings. And first game without Windows XP support was Just Cause 2 released in March 2010. I never had problems with playing old games on Win7.Originally Posted by Master_82 Go to original post
Sorry but, open your eyes))Originally Posted by TomPGN Go to original post
in the minimum system requirements, it is said: DirectX 9.0
So FC3 works on Win XP.
That's right. And check Assassin Creed 3 requirements. According to them AC3 also requires 512MB graphic card with DX9 and SM4.0 and required systems are Vista, 7 and 8.Originally Posted by Viragoxv535 Go to original post
I would like someone to answer me with Ubisoft on these two important technical questions:
1 Question: Nothing is known about the compatibility with Linux?
Question 2: I'm going to buy a new computer, whether on the specification I will play smoothly in maximum detail (Hi-Performance) at a resolution of 1650x1050:
*System Windows 7 64 bit
*16 GB Ram DDR 3 1600 mhz
*Graphic Card Radeon Shappire HD 7950 OC 3 GB DDR5, 950 mhz GPU
*Procesor Intel Core-i5 3570 3,4 GHz (4 core, turbo mode 3,8 Ghz)
