my system runs the game smooth as glass on maxed settings

C'mon, 1920x1080 are what people are talking about. This game makes me want to upgrade my 470 to a GTX 670. It's just too much for the 470 to deal with on maxed out settings. I'm pretty sure the next big game coming out real soon now will also eat the 470 alive... me thinks its finally time for an upgrade![]()
[QUOTE=Vapor-FC3;8903409][QUOTE=rastamees;8891699]1680x1050 resolutionWith everything maxed out at 1080p- hbao, enhanced, ultra everything, etc.. I am thinking of buying a second 670 because with just one, 4xaa is possible, but 2xaa is a lot smoother.. sometimes 4xaa is just too much and gets me to below 40fps. I wish SLI worked better in FC3. I'm on my 2nd run through the game, taking more time... I can see myself running through a 3rd time with higher difficulty settings.

2xaa with ultra quality will be fine by me, a big step up in framerate and image quality over what the 470 does on high quality and no aa with this game. I'm eyeing the factory overclocked FTW card from EVGA... this puppy right here... http://www.evga.com/Products/Product...02G-P4-2678-KROriginally Posted by BWX232 Go to original post
A two card setup is not a realistic option for me with my current system. First, the power supply wouldn't handle it. Secondly, I wouldn't want to go there w/o doing a CPU upgrade too, but that means a MB with different socket (oh and another wide PCI slot)... and suddenly we're talking about a whole new systemJust getting a new 670 and keeping it constrained to that should carry me a couple more years with my current asetek cooled, overclocked i7-875k (i hope). I'm also looking to upgrade my memory from 1333 to 1600 while I'm at it, but that's probably it for now.
If you can fit it in your system, a 670 on a 680 board might be a better option. Like my Gigabyte Windforce.. it runs at about 51c to 55c.. Runs at 1215/6060 at that temp.
Just throwing that out there..
