Dunno if you noticed, but Ubi's put up a forum feedback survey thingy...

Seems like pretty much everyone here has had it with the new forum style, plus the age-old annoyance of not being able to stay logged in.

I really suggest everyone go and fill out the survey. I put down I was "very dissatisfied" with functionality, ergonomics, and visual aspect, and said that these issues make me not want to use the forum as much anymore because they just make it annoying to use. Nobody wants to use an annoying website.

    My comment on the survey.

I only check the IL2/Cliffs of Dover forums.
Since the 'upgrade', many many members have left, or drastically decreased their visits.

    1.Visually it's so dark.
    2. Pages takes ages to load up, especially that blue fingerprint thing.
    3. It's the only site on the internet where I need to login everytime as it never remembers me. That is ridiculous.
    4. Accessing it from a mobile is unworkable as each page is so heavy and doesn't really fit the screen well.
    5. Another negative is the fact that there are no pictures pertaining to the game anywhere on the forum.
    6. The text is all white. There are no colours to help distinguish titles, usernames, etc. Plus it's boring to look at.
    7. The default font size is tiny - we can customize it of course, but why make it so small in the first place?

I think it was a concious decision by ubi, to make these forums as terrible as they possibly could, so they could finally close the il2 forums.

I mean, it has to be deliberate to get them this bad, surely you couldn't do it by accident.......

Nope, I'm sure it was accidental. This is Ubi - If they'd tried to do it they would surely have messed up, and ended up with something better than this, per Hanlon's razor: "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanlon's_razor

If it were deliberate and aimed at this forum in particular, all the forums for A-list recent releases would have had nice attractive schemes put in. They didn't (with the possible exception of one recent new forum), they're all the same unattractive dark grey and most never got their banners replaced after the move.
