So just now i try to go play and since i got the "key is already in use" in normal uplay launcher (i contacted support for that days agon, it never got fixed), i used the fix posted on this forum to be able to play (crate shortcut and add the -somethingXXX to exe file). Ok so now i launch it and it asks me for key, i insert it again, and now it says my key is banned. I dont cheat, never, ever. Im older player, i never even look at scores for kill to death ratio, i dont care for that i play to relax after getting home from work and after my kids drive me nuts. So is this some new bug or what is happening? My key is legit key i paid money for. Any ideas? Also contacted support, but that may take a while....
There was a workaround for "key already in use" problem, you needed to add something to target in shortcut. Then it would let you go into game. But now it just says something like "your key is banned" or something, on both shortcuts. Any idea? Maybe someone from ubi can help me? Any other player has this problem?
Hi there,
Support are the best people to answer this, but you say you added something to the shortcut?
if you are playing in steam - just right click the game in the library > then create shortcut.
You don't need to add anything to it, just click it and it should work.
Or
Launch the game from Steam.
If those suggestions do not work, then you will have to wait for support to answer you.
If those of you who have the problem, have not contacted support - I suggest you do.
Support are the best people to ask.
There was an issue with Uplay, where keys were being asked for again, in error - this was corrected in the lates Uplay update.
I can only suggest trying to remove the extra information from the short cut - if you use one - or try launching it directly from the Uplay games list,
