Stun prompt should go away. How they did it is what I take issue with -- merging of kill/stun button is not necessary to remove the stun prompt. Again, the merging of the stun/kill button is NOT NECESSARY TO REMOVE THE STUN PROMPT. (Do you hear me Ubisoft?)
And Serrachio, agreed.
First, 8 seconds is ridiculous. 4 seconds is better. But then again, idiots who stun NPCs have never served as a problem to me, it's an opportunity, but whatever. A 2-second cooldown is more than enough.
The real problem lies with ACR's crappy locking/soft lock priority system. Two words: Ground Finish. Every player, good or bad, has had the game hit targets which were not intended. And now the problem is compounded. Put NPCs, pursuers, and targets together in close proximity and it will be a crap shoot which one you get. Hell, just the order with which you stun or kill can make the difference in a close game. This change will create very very frustrating situations for anyone who plays the game.
But it's more devastating if you make a simple mistake, as you would then not be able to kill or stun at all, resulting in you being extremely vulnerable.Originally Posted by HaSoOoN-MHD Go to original post
Given that the soft locking system (highlighted NPCs) leads to unwanted errors, and as such locking isn't guaranteed to kill any more, there are some things they need to fix before merging the Kill and Stun button together.Originally Posted by HaSoOoN-MHD Go to original post
Maybe, maybe not. It all depends on how it is supposed to effect them.Originally Posted by I-14-Inch-LEGEND Go to original post
The button spammer tends to lose anyway. It's really not a big problem. I understand that many player's feel like they should be punished.. which I guess, is fine. Give it a 1-2 second cooldown. Problem solved.
The point is the soft-lock and target priority system will create situations where players are punished harshly for the game's mistakes. The does it now, and it's aggravating now. if I am "punished" 8 seconds of being totally helpless for the game's mistake, I'll be infuriated. And now that kill/stun are the same button --- with the game "choosing" rather than the player discriminating when to do which - the problem will only be magnified.
They are finding a "sweetspot" on the locking system. The merged buttons is actually a good idea I think. In the case that you're pursuer is right next to your target:
I've rarely had problems with the current lock system and I don't know why everyone complains. It locks onto the person your pointing the center of the screen at. How much more accurate do you want it to be? It can't read minds.
