Seperation of Kill streaks and Stun streaks.

I personally think stun streaks should be separate from kill streaks.

Kill streaks should be exactly the same as they are currently except they do not involve stuns.

Stun streaks would also come in 2 "forms"

Clean Stun Streak: 3 stuns without the target or you being under the affect of any abilities. = 300 points
    Stun streak: 3 stuns = 150 points

This would mean that players could decide whether they are defensive players or offensive players, obviously these numbers could do with some tweaking but generally I've given the stun streaks lower point rewards as you have lots of pursuers and few targets so getting a kill streak takes more work.

    What does everyone else think?

I agree. Sounds like a pretty good idea to me.

The idea has merit. Personally, I have no problem combining them -- realistically, that stunned opponent would be killed, not left alive.

Just get rid of Kill Buffer.

Well, if Stun Streaks were added to divide the current Kill Streaks, it'd allow the developers to reduce the Kill Streaks back to 3 and 5, as well as remove Kill Buffer and give Silent Kill Streaks more points to make them worth the effort, without being unfair on the defensive player.

It'd also offer a streak for each round of Manhunt matches, though I would guess players would prefer it if it offered a little more points.

It also promotes Naked Stuns, which gets people to try and outsmart their pursuer and save their abilities as well.

The main problem, as I see it, is that people aren't afraid of dying. I really have no issue with stuns counting as kills and vice versa. It works fine for both offensive and defensive rounds. I just wish that if you died, they got reset to zero. This would place more emphasis on staying alive. With kill buffer, sometimes a player is better suited just to go for a contested kill.

Truth is, such a change would probably hurt me more as a player than help me, because I often contest kills to my advantage. I may not win as much, but I think I would enjoy the lobbies more. You should try not to die, IMO, rather than running at your pursuers or just racking up on quantity.

Not that I think your ideas are bad, they could work just fine. But if kill buffer is still present, it just doesn't solve the real problem.

getting a kill streak is also harder considering you can't jump off a roof punching your pursuer. Also its a lot harder to not die on defense than on offense in games like manhunt, where you can't die. With contested kills and such, stuns should at least have the same reward.

yes, perhaps the same points. Especially since in AC3 it will be hard to identify your pursuer and accidentally killing an NPC will cost you a lot now.
