This co-op mode reminds me of the co-op mode in The Darkness II which was plenty of fun. It would be good to know:
- if the co-op missions can be played solo (just like in the Darkness II)
- if there is split-screen for the PC version as well.

I am very looking forward to Far Cry 3, the single player and the multiplayer should be a blast. Co-op is just icing on the cake and complements this significant package that you rarely find these days.

you said free roam could not be done on Consoles currently with the single player Island BUT how the hell Rockstar did it with read dead redemption than....

and finally....you now know everything that fans would really want in the editor and co-op mode....you ask us to trust Massive Devs.......OK....Lets see ya at the finish line...on september 4...

on the week following FC3 release, i will give you my impressions and i will not hesitate to tell you .....'' I TOLD YOU '' if you mess up with a 7/10 score because of the editor/multiplayer and co-op mode....!

I suggest you all start to try and get along unless you want to take a Holiday from the Forums. I'm sure that's not what you want with all of the new info out there. Everyone is allowed an opinion but if all it consists of is angry spam comments you won't be around long. If you see an issue with a member who is not following the Forum Rules, please use the reporting function instead of putting yourself in danger of a ban as well by lashing out.

Not to stir up anything, I was just voicing my opinion, everyone has a right to express their opinions, I wanted free roam, It's not included in the game, but I know there are others that wanted it too, and we just wanted to discuss it, as the title of the thread says FC3 Co-op.

Someone from E3 mentioned attack dogs in one of the coop missions, right now we are all speculating because we do not have the info, if we had the info then there would be no surprises left.

steve133d I certainly am not an employee and have no contact or anything with any of those guys - I just listen to some of those who know what they are talking about.
Ask anyone on here who knows their stuff how big a task it would be to get Free Roam in COOP over the whole Island with stuff still in place on current consoles, maybe it could be done but the sacrifices would be severe and it would not look pretty, most games have very linear paths and scripted events, or they have dark levels or indoor levels because that way they can hide things easier, Red Dead Redemption is an amazing game and it appears to be free roam but you can only cross the river at specific places, some of those mountain trails have to be navigated by specific roads and the same for some of the other areas- getting down from some higher up areas gives freedom in the view where you can see everything but there are set routes to getting around, in some ways it has linear sections but once you get there it opens up and allows free roam in those sections, plus it is 3rd person perspective not 1st person.

Why can't people just be happy with what they are getting, if 1 coop mission takes 40 mins to an hour to complete there will be quite a size to the mission so there will be some element of roaming around - hell it will be a bigger area then what people get in Spec Ops mode with COD and that is only 2 player.
We have seen 1 Multiplayer Map - Sub Pen and one COOP Mission, there will be so much more for them to show us - who knows maybe they will even have 1 or 2 missions in coop where we can use vehicles, we just have to be patient and leave it in their capable hands.

Right now though these forums are becoming the Definition Of Insanity lately with the same old questions been posted again and again - The sooner the game releases the better.

I hope ubisoft doesn't collaborate campaign free roam with co-op that's just stupid and will take the edge off what they've been working on, u guys think it will ruin it without co-op free roam? well far cry isn't for you then it would be good to put some sort of free roam split screen/co-op but not with single player because with someone else takes the edge off most definitely and would ruin the overall gameplay.....imagine hunting with a friend now that would be good, and ubisoft don't listen to what the player wants because look what everyone has done to cod and battlefield ruined the online mode I have faith in the company bring it on ubi
