The whole game revolves around insanity, hallucinations, and killing. So yeah, I think it belongs otherwise it wouldn't be the game it's supposed to be...?

Just to start this off, They did have drug use in Far cry instincts and evolution, and it turned you into a predator, so i dont see why you have a problem with the way they made it even better in this one, and more close to real life. As for the sexual content, it's a gods send because it'll keep all those annoying >13 year old gamers away from our fun time . But with those two things, i don't see how they can make you not want it as much, i would get it a little more if you said "no vehicles in multiplayer." or "No Predator mode" instead of saying two things that help this game reach the meaning of insanity.

The whole no vehicles in multiplayer thing, is a bit of a turn off for me, even though i didnt use many in my maps before (Like SPONGEBOB BB and others) didnt find them to be very useful, i was hoping they could change that, but instead, they just gave up with them haha.

Well, I know it fits in with the overarching theme of insanity. I'm just saying, thats what he thinks. My problem was that you just seemed to be misrepresenting him as a prude of sorts. I don't care if you disagreed, I just thought that you were mistaking his motivations for something more like "Drugs are icky and bad, don't put them in the game."

This game is all about insanity, so what is the problem of drugs and crazy minds ?
I didint play FC1 but i played FC2, though simple, it was a very involving game. And I dont want FC3 to be like another FPS with the classic formula. It must feel Involving and full of freedom.

It's ironic that now in order to play the game, I must bow to the fact that this will be a part of my game weather I like it or not. There may not be monsters or aliens in the game play, but helucinations, blank magic, and mind altering drugs are not quite what I had expected in a jungle adventure.

Hey, man. If you don't want to use drugs, good for you. It's your body and you can what you wish with it. Moving on.. I believe that the drugs are a key part in the whole adventure. Well, let me just say that I do not, have not and will never use any mushrooms or anything else that "trips" you out. I do, however, have a friend who said that he used to hunt for mushrooms. He told me that after ingesting a few mushrooms himself, it somehow allowed him to locate other mushrooms visually. He said something about them having a glow, or something. In the trailer with the Doctor, we do see a part where Jason seems to see things in a highlighted purple color. I think that the drugs are used to benefit Jason and not just hinder him. Think about how the pain-killers help Max Payne.

Another issue I have is the sexual content. Please don't anyone get me wrong here because I like a jog between the sheets as much as anyone else, however I don't think it should be part of a game such as this. There are hundreds of software titles that will take great pleasure in showing off some " boob's " but I don't think a jungle survival game should be one of them. Why UBI would stoop to displaying this kind of nudity, thinking that by doing so, it would make the game more apealing, is behond my comprention.

I don't think Ubi added bare breats into the game as a "fan-service". I believe that this content is in the game in a similar fashion as God Of War's bare breasts. Accuracy. How would a woman such as Citra really be clothed? I think that FarCry 3's nudity is more along the lines of National Geographic and not something like Leisure Suit Larry.. Maybe there will be an option for nudity like The Saboteur?

Figured out my text problem.. lol

Just pleasing the Far cry fans wont sell millions of units they actually want to capture as much of the FPS fan base as possible. What do FPS fans like a decent weapon list , tight controls , good gtafx, and lots and lots of maps. With out a doubt far cry 3 will the one to have cause in my opinion they have delivered all of the above. I have such more anticipation on details of the map editor that has been upgraded and there's gonna be some crazy good maps coming out .

The devs are trying to tell a story here... What do you expect? It's like you want Vaas and Jason holding hands, skipping and dancing while wearing turtle necks screaming "Be like me! Be drug free!"

    I just don't get gamers.

As an adult, when I watch movies I see sex and drugs all the time. I don't write to the movie producers and tell them I don't want to see that. I don't understand why a game should be viewed any differently. The way gaming is going it won't be long before we are playing interactive movies anyway so why make distinctions between what you already accept? Unless of course you disagree with it across all entertainment media. Your opinion is a respectable one but I fail to see why it really makes a difference in a 18-rated (adult) game.

I haven't played any other Far Cry's before, so I cannot compare what I've seen so far to any past experiences with the series. However, I do know much about this, and I think I can answer many of your questions. For starters, the sexual content is not meant to be used as marketing for the game. Ubisoft wanted to make this game feel like you really are Jason Brody, and that you really are trapped on an island. Like many other islands, this one contains native people. In some native tribes, even today, the way they dress is much different than every-day people. Some tribes will not dress with full clothing, not because they are trying to be "sexy" and neither is Ubisoft trying to get you to buy the game because of its nudity. I think they were smart with this idea, to show that nudity can be placed into a game, to show the native culture of the island. As far as the hallucinations and drugs, I'm sure more of this will be explained throughout the story. However, what I can assume is that Vaas has something to do with buying or selling these drugs. Again, I don't believe that Ubi is really trying to make this game more inappropriate. The plot of the story takes place on an "insane island", and as you know from Vaas's definition of insanity, anything could happen in this game, and I wouldn't worry too much about this content.

The girl is Vass's sister, and Vass does not sound like a "native" of the island. He sounds like he's from East L.A. - a gangsta with a lot of firepower. I hope we don't get gimmicked out here. At least in FC2, they sounded like Afrikkans, and tribal Africans which added to the realism of the experience. I hope we don't get just a "gangsta" themed game to appeal to a specific-type of gamer - but I'm keeping my hopes up all the same.
