I just bought my first Uplay game - what a treat! So, if I understand correctly, Ubisoft is now going to charge me $60 for a trial version of a game? I just purchased Ghost Recon Future Soldier and it says in order to "unlock" levels > 5 or "unlock" co-op campaign mode or "unlock" multiplayer mode I have to spend $10 more to purchase a Uplay passport?!?! Oh, I'm ecstatic! Let me see -- do I plan to buy more Ubisoft games in the future? Uh...no. I think not. Ubisoft has lost a good customer. I have 4 Xbox360s in my home and usually buy multiple copies of every game so my boys and I can hold local frag fests, etc. Thankfully, I buy one to begin with for evaluation purposes or I'd be 4x as pissed off. This is about the most dishonest crap I've ever seen. $60 for what basically ends up being a trial version?!?! And, from what I've read I get to pay this $10 fee with every new game I purchase? You want to raise the price of a game? Be up-front and include the price in the MSRP so when I buy it I know what I'm getting into! I can't believe this is how things have become! I used to love gaming but I guess it's time to grow up and find another hobby. I'll tell you this for sure. I won't be purchasing another Ubisoft title again. Ubisoft, you owe me **** it! I wonder how many other customers you're alienating with this move. Managment might want to reconsider because I don't think this idea was well thought out.
Hi benihanachef,
The Passport is included in every copy of the game that you buy new. If the leaflet was not in the box, you should contact Support to sort this out. (http://support.ubi.com)
