I do protest.........the SS comp is one of the few things we do here that the other forum doesn't. Regardless of interest I have always entered and voted for years, so I hope
it will continue. Yes, last month was bad, worse ever, but I wouldn't give up because of one bad month.....

Maybe everyone cried uncle to the great record of MWolfe. If that's the case, give me a Supreme Medal, a sticky in my honor and end the contest......or let's continue and see
who can compete...

What do you Captains think of this idea. We have the monthly Screen Shot Comp but have a theme the pictures could look like and change the theme each month.

I always thought themes would be a great idea due to so many aspects of the game..

Best historical shot,....an actual event that happened.
Best surface ship
Best plane
Best sunset

That makes sense...Putting a little variety in it might make some of the folks more willing to participate....Just a question of defining the categories and seeing how it turns out...

Themes aren't a bad idea but it opens up a whole new can of worms. Actually, depending on the theme(s), it can open up many cans of worms. How many themes do we have at one time? Do we have a regular comp plus a separate one for Themes? If so, who will host them? Who picks the Themes? What are the Rules & Regs for the Themes? Same as regular comp.? Who decides if the SS is in keeping with the selected Theme?

A former company officer of mine had a saying. "Good idea, bad idea."
He meant that an idea sounds good at first, but when careful, logical thought is put to it, questions come up, then it starts sounding like a bad idea.
