FAR CRY 3 - Single Player Campaign

Ubisoft announced that FC3 will be a SandBOX free roam exploration kinda game....but....

How much freedom we will really have in the single player mode, will we be able to go '' EVERYWHERE '' between and on the islands, like a Virtual living World to explore as we want and spend time in it...!

How virtual the FAR CRY 3 world will really be.....

How virtual you want FAR CRY 3 to be and what scenarios and options do you want in FC3 heavenly, paradisiacal, tropical environment..?

Yeah, I've just restarted RDR while I wait (also doing FC2 for 7th time) and really immersing myself back in 1911 in Texas. The sounds and scenery never stops to amaze me, along with the interactions with people and wildlife. I'm hoping FC3 will expand on all those experiences.

what kind of open world are we going to have is a great question. are we going to have a skyrim level of exploration and freedom? or a Dead Island piece of crap sandbox?

Yeah Dead Island failed, it didn't have true freedom or grittiness, just a fake plastic feeling sort of game.
The more freedom and variety, the better. Far Cry 3 is looking good so far, it looks like it has the feel right, with a big island free to explore and different things to discover. Keep up the good work, devs!

Beside the main island...do you think there is gonna be 1 or 2 neighbor mini islands we can swim to or get a boat to explore them also, only small islands would be cool, specific special items could be found there....and what about a offshore boat wreck, we could get onboard and explore its every corners even emerged part of The ship with scuba diving equipment to find a first aid kit or tools etc

    what do you think...

I'm all for a radiant quest system like Skyrim or RDR. Where you have your main storyline, and several other objectives and things to do, which may benefit you by earning extra money, friends to help you, (either in a firefight or offering intel and such). And not just generic and repetitive ones like FC2's Underground or buddy system. Something more meaty and substantial, offering a more realistic and deeper interaction than "You are sick, you need medicine, this man has medicine, deliver these passports, kill the men outside and he will give it to you."

I don't mean have each side mission uniquely hand tailored so you never do the same thing twice, just a little more reality and depth than "go here, shoot these guys because I tell you to"

-Maybe after saving a community from pirates, you could help the village by hunting a bothersome animal.

-Help the retired merc by finding his unique lost weapon, then you have a choice to keep it or give it back.

-Help the fisherman by killing the dangerous bull shark.

-Since there is a camera, why not include photography-based quest line, where a slimy nature photographer pays you to brave dangers and discover to exotic locales to take pictures of interesting landmarks, plants, animals, etc. (Sending them back to him so he can claim them as his own for his nature magazine, perhaps?)

A decent amount of these short, fun little diversions would drastically increase the already substantial replay value.

I don't know, I just believe they could do an incredible amount with this game, the scope of it could rival any other open world game today, the idea and environment is extremely fertile

Cool, our exploration won't be limited to land...so we may dream about exploring on and underwater the sea, rivers, the air, ultralite helicopter, delta plane, underground..... tree houses...etc

    what else could be cool.....

I don't mean to belabor RDR (just started a replay again :-) ) but I do like roaming freely between missions, just riding the range and taking in the scenery, BUT still coming upon RANDOM acts of animal attacks or rescue/helpful missions along the way - hunting or looting. I could spend hours just doing that before even attempting set missions. I hope FC3 allows you to do that as well.
