In a fair comparison, CryEngine is better in some aspects, worse in some. For example; Crytek managed to bug the water rendering a bit (No more high-quality real-time water reflections.). Also Dunia's terrain technology is more advanced, allowing you to blend two, or more, terrain textures with eachother. CryEngine 3 uses the same terrain engine CryEngine 1 did in most aspects, storing data per-vertex, not in "mask" images. We'll have to wait and see some FC3 DirectX11 footage.Originally Posted by AudiSpyders Go to original post
FAR CRY 2 was done with Dunia 2 Engine but what happened to the engine since then....will FAR CRY 3 run on Dunia 3 Engine
All other Graphic Engine have update videos on youtube or articles on many websites but Ubisoft doesn't talk about Dunia Engine....
Will it be the same old Dunia Engine on FC3 or will it be Dunia 3 and whats new about it......?
CryEngine 1 (Far Cry) -> CryEngine 1 (Console Far Cry's) -> Dunia (Far Cry 2) -> Dunia (Upgraded, Far Cry 3)Originally Posted by steve133d Go to original post
Probably some all-around improvements.
I don't think it will be better than Improved version of Frostbite 2.
Note: I know that this is trailer, but DICE mentioned earlier they opened new studio to work on Frostbite 2. Check in HD
And of course - Cryengine 3.
Note to steve133d: Crysis 3 was announced a few weeks ago. Crysis 2 released last year. This is the video of Crysis 2 with DX11 update:
This is the graphics that I want to see in FC3:
