Besides visual elements in the map editor, will we receive more options this time in the audio area?
For example, I had an idea one time that as a programer myself know would be easy to implement, and would probably work quite well with your editor system.
Brief summary:
Having an option to choose from roughly 20 different "Ambient Tracks" and you can also set the Ambient Track's volume. Examples of tracks:
"Spooky Night" with owls, crickets and wolves howling.
"Beachside" with seagulls, breeze and gentle waves heard.
"Stormy Wind" with rough wind blowing and rustling.
"Warzone" with constant background guns firing, bombs going off, ect.
"Factory" with loud machinery running/operating
Having an option like this, and being able to choose the volume would really let you set a mood for your map. There can even be alternate versions with a music track playing for even more mood, such as "Spooky Night +Music" with eerie graveyard themed music playing over the Spooky Night Ambient.
I really wish this could actually happen, it would be such a great little option that would make a huge difference when playing.
totally agree with this here!!! ^Originally Posted by therealdrewdelz Go to original post

here are some questions,
Will you be able to place water at more than one elevation in the map for Far Cry 3 and will there be more than one type of water? (e.g tropical, swampy ECT)
Will there be any form of object editor? (Where you can use shapes and stickers to make an object)
What will the limit be? (Far Cry 2 had a 40,000 limit or has this not been addressed yet)
Will you be able to "lock" specific weapons in your custom map?
Will there be a built in record feature so you can easily show off your maps? maybe via Far Cry website. (like driver SF has)
How will the rating be? (Star ratings, Like/Dislike ratio or something different)
more coming...
These are some great answers. I'm less worried about the map editor now that I know about the map's default size. However, it still doesn't address lack of vehicles.
Gearhead, that is my main worry. This game seriously needs vehicles, especially with maps that big. At least give it to us in the Custom games side of things![]()
