Even though it is not confirmed, far cry 3 might have split-screen and 4 player co-op. weather the co-op will be like a create a map with set spawns for the bad guys like horde mode for people to spend days making maps for or an open world version of the single player is not known neither. but take a look at the pic below.

DAMMIT! You made me think this was just confirmed, lol. But I'm thinking it's going to have offline objective-based missions, rather than a survival mode. Which is awesome, in my opinion. Nothing like providing overwatch for a friend down behind enemy lines, telling him there's an enemy next to him and taking him out quietly, then watching as it all goes bad when you accidentally throw a grenade. To me, the best times are trying to be stealthy and miserably failing. Thanks, man.

Personally, I was never a big fan of split-screen...but then, that's just me.
I think most households seem to have more than one TV nowadays, so setting up two different systems on a lan would be much better.
I found my eyes always wandering to the other part of the split, and you could never really take cover, or surprise attack properly...the other player could always easily know where you were.
Co=op is good though...
