I was HUGE FAN of il-2 1946, so I pre ordered this game.
When it finally came out, I downloaded it, and it was ABSOLUTLEY unplayble.
After a year or so I figured I would give it another shot and see if they have fixed this game.
I went to the site to download, and I got this error...
"Sorry,
It is too late to download this file. You were allowed to download within 30 days.
If you have any questions, please contact Digital River Customer Service at CustomerServices@digitalriver.com."
Is this game even worth the effort of trying to install?
Cliffs of Dover plays via Steam. If you've played it before on your Steam account, Steam will remember that you've bought it.
If you don't currently have it installed, all you need to do is start and log in to Steam and allow steam to re-install it. If the download doesn't start automatically, you can start it manually from your Steam game library.
So not only did I waste money in pre-ordering a game that didnt' work.....
But after 1 year or so I figured I would give them another chance.....but now they won't let me download it....
Here was their offical response...
" please note that your download window has expired, so you will need to purchase the Extended Download Service to be able to redownload the install files."
So they want me to spend more money on a game that didn't work in the first place....
NEVER AGAIN UBISOFT
If you had the game installed, steam should remember it and you can just reintall it from steam as Tully advised you. You don't have to download it from UBI. When you install, steam downloads a fresh copy anyway.Originally Posted by lezbianseagull Go to original post
Did you try that? Or you just want to whine about it without even trying?
Their so called customer service got back to me...they wanted me to pay MORE MONEY for me to be able to re-download the game.....somoene should file a civil suit against this company.
You CAN for free re-downlod the game from steam...(thanks for not telling me this ubisoft customer service).
Anyways, I re-downloaded the game...and again it does not work any better....so dont' even bother if you were thinking about it.
