Unfortunately for us, this will not happen. The next patch mentions the conflux is getting some minor fixes, that is about it. No proper offline play, no removal of the conflux entirely, no nothing really. Worse yet, Ubisoft will most likely not remove these issues currently in place, but enforce them and most likely make the conflux even tighter. I really would not mind any of these DRM things being in the game, as long as it doesn't harm my ability to play, or my enjoyment. At the moment, it is affecting it. Right now in fact.Originally Posted by DenTNT Go to original post

I notice with disappointment that Ubisoft has not chosen to respond to any posts in this thread. I consider that to be a pity, since the forum registration page advertised as being the way for users to "Be Heard" by Ubisoft. Perhaps Ubisoft should introduce a forum where users can "Get Replied To" by Ubisoft. That would be novel.
While I'm sure lawyers could haggle endlessly about the legality of disclaimers and "agreeing to terms and conditions" which requires users to be on-line, then perhaps time is better spent figuring out how many paying customers Ubisoft are losing by not providing a satisfactory solution to the inaccessibility issue your clients are facing. How many of the disgruntled uses would come back for the next big Ubisoft title.
Many people care little for DRM issues. Many care a great deal about disruptions to services they've paid for.
Ubisoft: Please don't hide behind the anonymity and vast amounts of strings that a forum presents. Send your representatives to the forum and have them explain to the user community what you intend to do about these issues and on what timescale. Much aggravation could be avoided by simply stepping up to the microphone and displaying some uprightness, even if your message might not be entirely to the liking of the users.
No they will just leave everyone in the dark and annoyed as usual. Their philosophy seems to be to ignore complaints and people will just get over it. Unfortunately, it is true. Until we start boycotting games in large numbers, it will not change. Games will continue to be released bug ridden and communication will remain poor and service poorOriginally Posted by NavLite36 Go to original post
I have post whats going on in the UBI General Discussion forum. Who knows, maybe some will be saved from the torture of buyin the game and no playing. check here

Or - better - will alert a bit UBI to ACTUALLY REALISE that there is a problem here - and in extend on their politics about games
I always check the kind of DRM BEFORE purchasing a game, that's why MMH6 isn't in my computer
IMHO, the better reaction with that sort of DRM bull**** is simply to NOT BUY the thing. Don't waste your time, and money, with people that don't deserve it (greedy game editors).
But, if you cannot be without it, well, "pir**cy" isn't necessarily an evil robbery act. Actually, it could be more considered as a political act, if you think a little.
Btw, to think positively as an old HoMM fan, a full offline patch would be more than welcome, and maybe will I reconsider my position.
Could someone create a poll ?
There is no need for a "poll"Originally Posted by LeFonzz Go to original post
The DRM sucks and everybody will be better without it. That is just a fact. The DRM helps the consumer in no way at all, and doesn't seem to stop the pirates either. It is a complete waste of space.
Thing is, even if people still want it, there is no valid reason to actually find this DRM useful. If someone could name one thing even remotely useful about this DRM then feel free to post here. I am more than willing to listen to your opinions on this.
