This will be on Steam right?

I see the new page for where you can pre purchase this, but there isn't a Steam icon. This will be on Steam right? Maybe 6 months away is still too far for it to be on there.

If it isn't there like a month before release, I would just pre-order it in physical copy, if you want the PO benefits.

If they are smart they will put it on steam because it has the most games bought by pc gamers. Unlike EA who is stupid because they dont put all their games on steam which lost a lot of sales including from me

yes this will be on steam. Ubisoft isn't in some dispute like EA and Valve are.

I honestly hope it`s not on steam for the store bought version. I hate buying a cd/dvd for mostly single player games and having to use steam for it to run. I have at least a dozen games I bought discs for that require steam to play. When I walked into gamestop and shelled out 50 bucks for FC2, I went home loaded the disc and played it without having to rely on steam for it to run. That`s what I want from FC3. By all means make a steam version for download but please don`t require it for the store bought version.

I don't mind using steam for some games, but others I'll give or take

It makes it easy if you have a really good connection - you can just pop the cd-key in and let it download/install all on it's own - especially if there is multiple discs

I did this with BF3 - couldn't be bothered with the install DVDs so just installed/downloaded via origin @ 1500 kb/s lol

Achievements on Steam is great - as is joining MP games with friends and if there is faction-style open-world multiplayer then being able to join friends in your fraction would be pretty insane imo

Also purchasing DLCs is a **** load easier through steam I've found - I have all the Assassin's Creeds as retail and haven't got the DLC's for Revelations yet simply because it's too much of a hassle (especially being in Australia where it's not always as easy and the prices are sometimes more expensive - this is more of a generalisation rather than for Ubi games)

That's what I'm hoping for. And having achievements with far cry 3 would extend the replay value immensely. Doing stuff like "snipe a guy from 10 miles away." or "jump down the tallest waterfall in the game." or "distract 5 guys with one rock throw." that would be awesome if this game got achievements.
