Croatia - Serbia Euro handball cup
We played against Serbia yesterday.
Serbia blocked the borders for Croatian fans, although some 200 fans managed to get through before that.
All through the game the Serbian "fans" insulted the Croatian fans and Croatia by chanting very insulting things.
Also, booed and whistled through our National Anthem, which i have never seen before.
Also they threw various objkects on the field, even darts, and injured one of their own players with shards of glass. Pointed lasers to distract our players.
Special police had to protect our fans.
Can you see them, the ones isolated, with a few flags?
A few days back, our fans, returning from France-Croatia match, were attacked by Serbs with rocks and axes...Yes,axes.
Just wanted to show to the world, what kind of nation these people are...At least most of them. There is a few good ones, but the rest is just savages
We lost the battle, but we will se them again...
I am proud to hear our Anthem in the middle of Beograd, once again

Interesting sport. I've never seen anything like that before. It kind of reminds me of soccer, except only the hands are used for play. It's a shame when good will and fair play are not included in a sporting event. I've certainly seen things like that happen before, here in the States, but it's usually confined to individuals or small groups. The strangest occurences are the ones involving general acts of violence by fans on the side of the winning team. I've seen that here by Football fans and it is the most difficult thing to understand. There should never be violence, especially involving a sporting event.

The players have gotten...rough a few times in the game, once a Cro player and a Serb player dived after a stray ball like oyu would do in American Football, they were in a ...clinch? dont know the word for it,but the ref broke them apart, they got up,we got the ball, and they shook hands.
This is just a savage nation TBH,they started every war on this area, and our wuss president is apologizing to their president for things during the last war, which THEY did!!!
To add to it,their president said this
"Dont act like they do when we come to their country" well, what is going on here? We had them at a sporting event here a few months back, and they caused minor problems, while we didt do anything!!! Even more,we allow them to come into our country at any time, especially during summer, and they dont let us in for sporting events???
If we had won that game,i have no idea what would have happened to the 200 fans that were there...
I know one thing...I better not see three fingers n the air any time soon around here!

Ah, yes. The tinderbox of Europe. It's interesting to speculate what would have happened on 28 June 1914 had Archduke Franz Ferdinand's driver not gotten lost and made a wrong turn. When he did, he took the Archduke right past Gavrilo Princip, who was disconsolately sitting in a cafe following the morning's failed assasination attempts. Making the most of his second opportunity, Princip shot and killed the Archduke and his wife. That event led directly to WW I, the Bolshevik Revolution, the rise of fascism, WW II, the Cold War, etc, etc, etc. Most of the history of the 20th century was set in motion by that driver's wrong turn. In fact, the current unpleasantness in the Mideast is a resonance, if you will, from that single event in late June 1914.
