In fact someone made a simple custom map that is meant for this purpose. If you use search you'll find it, it may be in the sticky threads too, or google it. The map has every Dynasty Weapon available, you just pick up the ones you don't have so you don't have to go through the campaigns over and over again. Second, you start with 1million phoenixes and you just mozy your way through a bridge of enormous monster stacks and quickly upgrade your Dynasty Weapons. You just restart the map over and over, each time with a new dynasty weapon. It literally takes you 2 minutes to max out the experience of a Dynasty Weapon.

Just do this and move on.
Does leveling with a user-made map still work? I heard many of these trivially easy dynasty leveling techniques took a hit after a couple of patches.

I'm actually doing this tonight. Will come back and tell.

The waiting time is much longer than advertised though (113K skellies at month 28)
I'll come back with the extra time required.

    Playing the game on normal.

It's longer because you set the game to normal. You have to set the creature growth and initial stack sizes to the highest allowed if you want them maxed at month 28. You can then set the AI to whatever you want, but you can't choose any generic difficulty other than "Hard" for it to still give the largest stack sizes and and fastest growths. I would recommend manually maxing the stack sizes and growths and setting the AI to the lowest allowed.

I have that same custom map that an earlier poster mentioned, but it no longer works on the current patch. You don't gain DW exp from fighting those legions of champion units and you can't just stroll over and pick up the DWs lying on the ground since they don't appear when you play the scenario. They do appear however when you view the map through the map editor.

I levelled up Arachne the painful way because I didn't want to change Anastasya to a might hero, as there was a big warning saying I would lose all my campaign files associated with the necro campaign if I did so, since I had left her as a default necromancer when I completed her campaign.

Anyway, after exploring the entire map, I finally managed to find a group of Praetorians fleeing from me. Not as many as I had hoped, but I did max out 5 might and 4 magic DWs from them using multiple heroes. Pity there is a limit to how many heroes you can recruit in a given scenario.

Instead of using Anastasya one could create a custom hero and it wouldn't wipe the campaign progress made with her, or one could use her if they already had progress with a custom hero.

Glad you were able to have some success leveling weapons Pyroxenk. And thanks for the update.

It still works on mobs that try to flee. (the first sentinels brought my weapon to level 4)
For the notice: it takes 33.5 months using the normal settings against a normal AI for the first squad to max out.

Another tip: If it doesn't flee, DO NOT FIGHT. If you have to, use the Arachne trick.

Mobs you actually fight max out your hero's level, but give close to no dynasty weapon XP.

    ghouls in second cave?

Mayby I'm blind as a bat but when I enter the second cave there is no ghoul stack? tried today 11/2 so mayby they changed it? I can see a stack of ghosts but those are behind a 3 different mobs stack which I cant kill in any way

You have to kill a few stacks in the cave before you get the ghouls. Nothing should be posing a challenge for you to kill with Arachne level 4 anyway, which you should equip on a might hero to take out troublesome must-kill stacks that get in the way.

I doubt they've changed this as there hasn't been a new patch. I personally tested this strategy and leveled all of my weapons with it in patch 1.21.

Thanks for the Tip, it worked fine and is probably the most efficient way in 1.2.1

The only issue is that you do have to work a bit to get to the ghouls, then to the pack of wolves (they were the only ones to run away for me). You only need one to flee tho, as it only work once per hero. It did stop before I used all heroes, for some reason but I managed to level up at least 5 weapons this way (including binding blade...). One interesting side feature is that I jumped from Silver rank Dynasty to Platinum directly...

I have to say I had to do it twice because the first time when I went to the cave exit, I forgot to equip Anastasya with any dynasty weapon... ****it! And once it is done, it is done, no reload would help, it really work ONCE per hero.

But the first part is relatively easily done, and it works in the end, thanks again!

As soon as you have Arachne restart the map with a might hero and make sure it's the first weapon you level as you leave the underworld. You can still purchase magic heroes at this point to level magic dynasty weapons, but your main hero will be able to easily take down mobs that must be killed.

Thanks - did exactly as u said - 1 hr 15 weapons - anyone know how to find the rest
