Why does everyone keep saying that if Ubi doesn't hurry up and release more info that this game will just fall off the radar? Are you going to forget that this game is coming out somehow? As much of a fan as most of you claim to be of this series, I highly doubt that waiting for info will suddenly make you forget that a game you've been talking about over and over for the last year is in development. I'm a little disappointed myself that we haven't had more info, videos, or even mention of map editor/multiplayer, but that doesn't mean I'm not checking the forums and gaming sites every day looking for something new on it. Delays in advertising and gaming releases isn't always a bad thing, and some of you act like if they don't rush this game right to your doorstep incomplete and full of bugs that you'll lose interest in even buying and playing it. I'm not trying to $h1t on anyone's picinic basket here, just saying that if you're a true fan of this series and map making, and I think all of us are, then relax. Be patient however frustrating it may be, and stop acting like Ubisoft owes you something.

    Rant comeplete.

When it DOES get here, I expect to see each and every one of you mapping, shooting, laughing, and tearin up the airwaves on Xbox Live with me! Unless you're a PS3 or PC player in which case I have no use for you lol. ;-)

I don't think, and hope it's not a case of " shutup and market this thing". I'm confident and hopeful Ubi has taken time to re-tool and tweak the final product before release to make sure it satisfies most play options, leaving a full, bug- free product available to market.

Lack of news is not creating suspense!

Strike up a convsersation in an FC2 game lobby about your excitement for FC3. Here is what you'll get. "They aint workin on ****!". or "FC3? HAHAHA". or "Yeah whatever." or "Screw UBISOFT" or just silence. Again, the dead silence is backfiring, Im just sayin!

Yeah folks buy the game, me included, but the lack of any news whatsoever is just poor marketing 101. I cant even mention FC3 to my friends without getting laughed at or just ignored. For the non-fanboys, there honestly is the perception that UBISOFT is not working on FC3 anymore. If thats a perception that the marketing folks at UBISOFT are comfortable with, then roll on!

Also, I cant remember a game offering pre-orders without a release date, or at least a round about one(a year doesnt cut it). Maybe the budget is tight and the all of the development is coming from preorder sales?

They had us hyped for a bit, but the hype has faded for all except the rabbid fanboys like DapperHayden, now its just "yeah whatever" at best.

As far as them holding back so that they can give us a glitch free game. FC2 still has glitches. You'll never get rid of them all. Ever heard of "Beta Testers?" And, thats what folks like those of us visiting this forum and still playing FC2 are for.

For goodness sakes, they had a playeable demo almost a year ago. Did they scrap it and start anew, or just shelve it altogethor?

I agree with TS. Iam impatient but its ridiculious. Ubi doesnt know how to market their games, atleast not FC, didnt see a commercial of FC2 once, even once! only what i saw on the Internet. Quite sad actually that they think FC3 will sell well if they keep this up. Sure you and I might not forget this game, but there are plenty of people that havent even heard of FC. Why? Because they keep it like it was a government secret. Whats so bad about releasing a screenshot once every week or whatever. No wonder this forum is dead, they cant care less about the people buying this game. If no? Then why not release a screen or some info. Im 100% sure a screenshot would give away the whole game...I basicly never go to the forums anymore because i know they never release anything + its quite dead, just because of that.

The demo shown, was not really 'playable' by the public - it was a guided demo, to show what the game is expected to be like..

If you turned the wrong way, you would have seen 'behind the scenes' and break the demo - they only completed what was shown, that's why a member of staff had to play it - so they didn't break it

The footage widely shown - of the attack to gain access to the helicopter - when first shown was a guided demo only..

This was due to the demo being incomplete - that's why it was not released to the general public or reviewers.

Later demos may have been more fully completed, however it was never really in a publicly playable state when previewed - this may have now changed though.

The demo can be set any place within the main game, since they know the back storyline and have all of the maps and assets ready - even cutscenes etc, it does not mean it's a fully playable demo though.

When the demo was shown, there was still many months of work needed on the game

Exactly. Some people seem to have difficulties in understanding that simple fact; if a part of the game is finished, and looks good, it doesn't mean everything else is.
