I had high hopes for the long delayed 1.2 patch , especially in terms of the A.I.
I played 10 games and against 2-7 hard A.I in a team with different map settings against me alone, the result was that I won every single game without losing a single unit. The lack of a random map generator combined with a very very weak A.I means the game is essentially worthless. The bugs and other issues I wont even mention here.
I am a big fan of the series and after playing heroes 5 for about 4 years I did hope heroes 6 will be different but equally good. But I have to admit if friends ask me about heroes 6 I tell them the game sucks and they should not buy it, that is a very sad thing.
The game has been released almost half a year ago after it was delayed for almost half a year and it is still not even playable. Let alone have any strategic depth that set it apart from the competition or heroes 3 and 5. That we didnt even hear about a 1.3 patch yet shows that this game is a complete disaster and failure.
What happend to regular small patches that there discussed and promised here on the forum in november? (1.2.1 does not count its the patch of the patch)
Also I believe that minimal staff is commited to make this game a better game and the game is deemed a failure inside the studio and ubisoft as well. Otherwise it wouldnt take so long for any kind of update or informations to come our way.
The amount of ******** news like the chinese new year the recently posted just aggrevates me even more. Instat of posting random crap every few days they should hire more people to make this game actually worth playing.

I see what you are trying to say. That heroes 5 was equally unfinished 3 (?) months after its release. I have to say I dont know that exactly because I only bought heroes 5 half a year after its original release. And when I finished the campaign and started to play on hard and impossible on randomly generated maps I had the best time with any strategy game ever and I did recommend it to all my friends.But you did say Awesome Must Buy, to your friends 3 months (which is not almost half a year) after beloved H5 was released?
Also I started to play the beta of heroes 6 in june I think, so its been half a year that I followed the game and saw that especially the A.I is simply not working. Thus my frustration and my post here.
To give one more specific example why I am frustrated: I had many games now where an hard A.I player, after 12 to 16 weeks into the game still only has core units , 1 castle and just stands there without going out of the area of its initial castle even though I deliberately left empty castles next to him with disabling the neighbour player before the game starts.
I tried it with all types of recources because I figured the A.I can not make the first few fights with "scares" starting resources. But that didnt help either, the A.I simply gets stuck randomly. And those are premade maps not even randomly generated...
The result is you play 2 to 5 hours for nothing, you might as well just disable the enemy and just clear the map alone.![]()

Hey man, I get everything you are saying and feel your frustration but have you tried any skirmishes on normal? What I mean is: I don't see the computer hovering in a corner with core units only on most of my games. (I have only played about 2 dozen or so skirmishes on normal setting with normal AI and no dynasty weapons. I do have a starting bonus trait on my hero.) The computer does have a decent army when I meet them and we usually meet by them invading me within the first month if not sooner. They are normally quite respectable when it comes to army size but definitely beatable if I 've played intelligently to that point. I don't see how you don't lose a single unit (unless you are only referring to neutrals). The enemy armies either do their best on a fairly even match (in which the healing/resurrecting brings me mostly back but not always 100%) or an inferior hero delivers a quick damaging spell or blow, then runs away leaving me no chance to heal. I always take the ambush ability but even when I clearly dominate the first move, the AI just waits until one of his creatures moves then does a righteous strike or firebolt or worse then runs. I also think the half army loss after a runaway is bs. You run, you lose all army. Maybe I'll give you 10% of your strongest 2 stacks if rehired next turn.
