Just as well, according to Forum Rules any discussion of any kind about Piracy is forbidden. I'd end up having to close this thread.

I don't think that will be necessary, ASF.

In reality, they weren't robbing the rich. They just grabbed numbers indisciminately and made thousands of dollars worth of purchases. The vast majority of those robbed were average, middle class, blue collar workers who don't have a lot of money. To me, they're thieves and criminals. Like I said, you'd feel a lot different if it was you they robbed. My concern and my heart goes out to those blue collar victims, despite the fact that I haven't been robbed.

If it's the attacks i'm thinking of, they were framed there. Fairly sure it was Lulsec responsible for those Hacks. I've actually read a file from Anon with details of the hackers responsible that they gave to the authorities and was responsible for the arrest of that bloke in Britain.

Frankly i like Anonymous. They have a fairly solid code of Ethics and go after issues i believe strongly in. They're also in a manner of speaking one of the few effective ways of staging protests. When the Australian government was fiddling with a internet filter they brought down a heap of government websites in protest, which caused a lot more news and government reaction then any of the "Normal" protesting going on.

The articles go on and on. Anonymous and Lulsec are closely alligned allies that aid one another. Just like Germany, Italy and Japan did during WWII. Cyber-terrorism by any other name is still terrorism. Their days are numbered. And, what greater good will they have achieved or come of it? Nothing. They do nothing to aid the common man/workers of the world. All they do is gain notoriety, for themselves. They're just a bunch of disgruntled network technicians and "script kiddies" turned criminal.

    You may feel so,
Lulsac was the one who stole the money.
Anonymous when they stole some money, what you were talking about, they donated it to charity, and posted the proof of it,probably on 4chan i guess, there is proof of it on the interwebs, just need to look around.
Lulzsac is the one messing around for no reason really.
Terrorism isnt terrorism if no one is physically harmed if you ask me.
What good did they achieve? They made peoples' voice be heard, also along with the blackouts of certain websites, and protests on some facebook sites from some communities (Not like that one mattered lol). They will achieve more in 3 hours of what they did the other day, than any street protest.

    "ter·ror·ism
    - noun 1.*the use of violence and threats to obtain political demands"
What about mentally harmed? Or financially harmed?

Maybe they did donate the Stolen money to charity, I do t know, but the point is, It's still Someone else's money. IMO, they're thieves.
I try not not to argue on Forums, but I'm with Werner on this.

People obviously have different views, nothing wrong with that.
The way i,and most people see it,Anonymous fights for the only place where we are free,to some extent (Not even there are we free) and they fight to keep it free,Quiet protests against Sopa and Pipa would have happened, but when they took megaupload down, they enraged many many people,me among those people, since as i said, thousands of guides, mods, plugins and such for a simracing game are gone with it. And thats why they went on that DDoS attack spree.

On a sidenote;I have to get back into SH4 now that i jhave a decent pc lol

As a fellow computer nerd (granted, not nearly as skillful as them) I do always find their stories entertaining and interesting. I'm afraid I don't know enough about them to really be able to argue one way or another, but their vast knowledge with technology and ability to get a point across very, very well has me rooting for them in a way I suppose.

    Anywho, that's my
