This happens for me from time to time as well. YSFE 2012 doesn't recognize me (for some reason), and I'm forced to wave my hand over my gamertag on the screen so it will load my profile in-game. I agree...very frustrating.Originally Posted by NitrousKirill Go to original post
I had the same issue as reported by NitrousKirill. It seems to me that the positioning mechanism of the kinect camera is not very precise sometimes. I've mounted the camera on top of my TV. In case of this issue i change the tilt of the monitor a little bit and do recalibration again. That helps ... sometimes)
I've not posted in a while...but i wanted to bring this topic back up again because Ubi has done absolutely NOTHING to fix the issue. I still have to manually adjust the camera each time I start up YSFE 2012. This was NEVER an issue in the first YSFE game. I'm quite disappointed that Ubi doesn't want to recognize that this is an issue...along with some of the other bugs that should have been corrected from YSFE to YSFE 2012. Sad really...for a great workout software.
I have had that but not in a while. I've just realized I've been wearing black a lot though which apparently Kinect doesn't like so will see if that makes any difference. I don't tend to get any issues until I'm down on the ground doing floor exercises and then it has problems registering some of them.
It's definitely an issue. I don't understand it because in the first YSFE game, the camera never adjusted like this at the beginning of the game. With YSFE 2012, it adjusts all the time. I wonder if this is one of the reasons that Kinect PlayFit doesn't like to carry over all calories burned in YSFE 2012? My guess is yes.
That PlayFit thing is disappointing.
For instance, I tend to average about 270-350 calories a session burned which YSFE:12 mostly records (not had an issue with it in a few months now).
But when I go to PlayFit afterwards, I'm lucky if it counts 1/2 that - often it is nearer 1/4.
Yet when I played "Star Wars" yesterday for about 45 minutes, including standing around waiting for the cut-scenes etc. it credited me with MORE than I got from my entire hour's (pretty intensive) abs and arms workout the day before in YSFE:12.
Definitely some disconnect there between Microsoft and Ubisoft as the Star Wars game seemed to deal with it just fine.
