Incredible story. It reminds us all that these events were real and it all happened not so long ago. RIP.

Now that`s interesting. At first I thought it was a joke. It looks like a teddy bear in harness.

    RIP.

I've read that story. I hope they find out who it is but...I remain a bit sceptical. Only because I find it hard to believe a body - skeleton actually - would remain intact even with a harness after 60+ years. I'm not a forensic scientist though so I don't know.

Well, it takes a very long time for a body to completely fall apart. I suspect that the harness, uniform and the jungle itself with the vines and moss have helped keep him together.

Did the US use synthetic fibre in their harnesses? Might explain how it managed to hang together.

I thought all these people were equiped with jump knives to cut themselves out of their rigging.

he could have banged his head when he jumped out of the airplane, broke his neck on when he fell on the floor, lost his knife...

He was probably badly injured, or even alerady dead at the moment he reached the trees.

    Poor man
