wayyyyyyy back they told me they were sending me to an M551 Sheridan outfit (the light tank in that photo on the drop skid)

One of the biggest pieces of crud ever made, that tank. Thank God they screwed up my orders and assigned me to two different outfits at the same time. When I showed them the orders they let me choose. wheeeeewwwwwwwwww that Sheridan was about as armored as an M111....two flattened cans of green beans duct taped together with a jalopy suspension and engine pack. (I guess it is no wonder they dropped them out of C-130s )
