From what I have read, SHIV online can be abit problematic. I belive you have to open certian ports to alow the needed info in and out. Also if you have a router, you need to open the same ports on it as well. The 3rd thing is to turn off any firewalls that can block info as well. Some people are not willing to go quite that far though.
Lastly and most important!!! I could be ALL WRONG in the above info!!!!! Its just what i read here somewhere in the forums.
I wanted to play a bit online so i decided to set up a game, but when i got there there was a game going on with 7 players already in it, so they asked me to join, by text messages, never saw those guysonline before, and i don't think they were using TM1.6 but i played for a while without having to do any changes to anything. then I had a massive CTD, that could have been caused by they not using TM or most probably because of the fact that one of the Memory Simms or whatever it's called its a bit broken and sometimes acts up.
it was great fun, to attack a convoy in a wolf pack
Don't feel bad Lane, I have "Nevah...Nevah" played online games either and I just turned 30.Originally posted by lane2512:
Thanks for the hat tip wh1skea....but this old fud has to first figure out HOW to play on line.
(I'm really showing my wrinkles now....I have NEVAH...NEVAH played an on line game before...this would be a first)![]()
Just dropping by to see how the party is going, hope everyone will have a great weekend. I am still recovering from last night and I don't mean hangover (to pricey). I was wrong I did not go see the Blue Man Group but instead I seen Wayne Brady "Making **it Up". My sides and cheeks still hurt from all the laughing! I raise a Glass to the party and to EVERYONE!
