    Hi guys, just upgrades my PV with a 500 PSU, a Geforce 9800 GT and a 23 Wide Screen Samsung. Running the rig with 1920x1080 resolution and am getting some odd 3D effects. In order to play wide scream my config.ini is set to 1280x960. Whats weird is I am getting the middle half of my screen to get lighter than the outer edges when facing the sun. I am also getting white bloobs on the lower half of my screen when over water. Here's a copy of my config.ini and I have not messed around with the Nvidea and its set at Let 3D Application Decide. Any help would be appreciated....... If I have to I will post pics but need info on how to do this.

    Ok, in order to run 1920x1080 you must set this in conf.ini:

    I noted where the changes should be made.

    In the nvidia control panel be sure to set AA to overide and at least 8x, set multi-threaded optimization to off and extension limit to off.

    IIRC that's for forcing the resizing of resolution when the desktop and game res don't match but won't change properly. Never had to change that setting.

    Okay setting width and height to 1920 x 1080 and saving aspect to 0 worked. Made suggested changes to AA to 8X but could not locate multi thread opt. Still getting weird white patches over water but two tone screan problem is corrected. Any other suggestion for the white blobs over water?

    Don't know if it's related but I have two Nvidia 9800 GTX's in sli and if I max out all the graphical option in the Nvidia panel, I get weird artifacts in IL2 and eventually the screen freezes up. All I can gather is that maxing everything out stresses the cards and heats them up too much.

    Well, changing water setting from 4 to 2 corrected the problem. I have no idea which Nvidea setting would affect this setting.

    Here are my settings 9800gtx, complied from a few I found on these forums. never had problems with IL2 on perfect settings, but some other games using AF caused some polygon issues when alt+tabbing (it went away if I alt tab again), latest drivers resolved those issues. have installed the latest march .dll's for IL2.

    Look in the forgotten battles+AEP profile in the nvidia control panel, multithreaded optimization will kill framerates if set to anything but off, and extension limit will not allow perfect mode if set to anything but off. Keep looking.
