And when it does reach you it's just lies anyway...Originally posted by Gypsy816:
Hello!I get information from Ubisoft as it comes to me and I always post it in the forums. Sometimes it just takes a bit to reach me.
I hope you are letting them know they have a lot of unhappy customers out there, not that they would care, they are probably more interested in working on something that's going to make them more money, rather than supporting an existing product, one which was sold unfinished anyway.
I'm sorry but that's just not good enough. These are the official Ubisoft forums. We know it's not your fault but it takes Ubisoft 6 months to give us a date on a feature that was supposed to be in the game upon release. The date comes and goes and we hear nothing. Now we're 2 full weeks later and still nothing. The only person we can talk to is you, but you seem to get just as screwed by Ubisoft as the rest of us. They don't tell you anything just as they don't tell us anything. I don't blame you, but the lack of respect Ubisoft shows it's players is absolutely disgusting. They release DLC after DLC so they can rake in more dollars but fail to fix what's broken despite promising they'd do just that it on more than one occasion. How it's apparently normal that their own representative doesn't get told anything about what happens in their company is completely beyond me.Originally posted by Gypsy816:

There is another contact — you could contact Ubisoft's tech support via their knowledge base and ask them, but I suspect the response (if any) would be rather vague.
I know from first hand experience that there is a discrepancy between the in-game stats and those that appear on the web site. (mine do not match) I would assume that things like this need to be resolved before an event can take place and they keep coming back to haunt them.
Not making an excuse, but I work in the software industry and test software every day. There are days when I swear the saying "S#it happens" was created by a software tester.
I was actually surprised that they even said when an event would place in the first place. Tech Support and developers tend to be vague for a reason — to avoid disappointing people when something goes wrong, as it often does. It would have been easier for them just to say "It'll be ready when it's ready" and leave it at that, so they must have been very confident that it would all be ready for the week of May 9th.
And then Murphy's Law kicked in.

they shouldn't have to give a date on when it should be good to go, it should have been completed and ready to go live when before the game hit the store shelves. i've read a few post that call the game incomplete, which it is so why should they complete the game before adding more DLC which we have to pay for if we want making an incomplete game cost even more. in my opinion when people buy DLC for an incomplete or broken game they are basically saying there fine with it the way it is and the developer never gets around to fixing or completing the original game. the more dlc people buy the less chance of us seeing an event since the devs are more concerned on making more dlc than fixing the problem they already have. the main problem with the gaming industry now adays is the fact that way too many developers throw out incomplete or broken games, they don't test then like they use to since now they can throw out games that are incomplete now and let all of the gamers be the beta tester for them. basically there save by not paying people to test them, but by us being stupid enough to buy an incomplete game and pay to test it for them. which in my opinion and im sure others as weel it is BS that game are sold incomplete or broken becaouse of lack of testing. or in this case lack or organization of the website for the game.
