@Lance: I agree that the developers have been irresponsible with this part of the game. Just wanted to point out that YS is made by Ubisoft, not EA, so Ubisoft is to blame.
@Gypsy: I agree with Lance that you are certainly not to blame. The "necessary people" do you a disservice by not giving you any concrete news to pass on to the community.
My opinion of Ubisoft is now very low. If this is not fixed by March, I will not be purchasing another Ubisoft game.
Bungie is an example of a company that does things right, in my opinion. Halo: Reach interacts with the Internet every day for the Challenges. The system worked from day one. Only once has a Challenge had a bug that made it impossible. Bungie fixed that bug within a few hours. And while Bungie doesn't answer every community question, they do give detailed updates weekly.
Gypsy, I'm sorry that the developers have put you in a tough place. Hopefully they will give you real news soon. Thanks for passing on what little information they give you.
This comment, FTW. Come ON, Ubisoft!Originally posted by MathGuy42:

An unobtainable achievement may seem trivial to suits in a board room. But there are end users who take achievements and game completion very seriously. They should realize that gamers will remember this and take it into consideration with respect to future Ubisoft purchases.
Ubisoft do not have a good track record for customer support. I already had a very bad experience with them over the "Nowhere" map DLC in Tom Clancy's GRAW 2. For me, Your Shape FE was Ubisoft's "second chance", and an opportunity for them to regain my trust as a consumer. So far, I'm not impressed...
I agree, this is pathetic now. The game has only been out for what..3, 4 months? And people have only been asking for a couple of months but still no answer. I have the game but haven't played yet, I will be returning it directly to UBISOFT for a refund and advising all my friends not to buy another UBISOFT game ever. I have also been in touch with a lawyer who has suggested a Class Action may be the way to go here.
