Russia for sure. They are deadly! Very easy to have an average of 2 per game with that arty.

It seems euro artys break uplinks quicker which is a big advantage. probally not the best but i vote for euro just to get an argument

I vote JSF artillery. We need to look a little deeper into the matter though.

EFEC- Fastest moving artillery (can get to a location faster), sets up and fires faster (from a non-firing to a firing position it's fastest), has the lowest range, lowest power, least health.

SPZ- Slowest moving artillery, sets up and fires slowest, medium range, most power, most health. But from my experience it has a hard time competing with JSF artillery at times. I've had legendary artillery with +10DMG and DLC upgrades that lost to JSF artillery. Aside from that the SPZ artillery freezes very often, especially when firing a chem shell.

JSF- Medium across the board except for range where it has the most range. You simply get more tactical options with JSF artillery. You can get closer to the middle of the map faster than SPZ artillery PLUS having the ability to out-range us. JSF artillery can retreat much faster than SPZ artillery, and our extra health means little when it takes us much longer to escape the range of JSF artillery.

All in all its still a very controversial subject.

I say russian hands down. The euro arty is only good at shooting uplinks. Now once you use the emp, the euro arty is VERY effective. But if your opponent is moving and try to use the mlrs, occasionally you can miss. The jsf arty has the range and is middle of the pack. The grid smash can take out units surrounding the unit you specialed, but it isnt that powerful. e.g., you cant kill a unit with the special, even if its a 3 star arty. Now the russian arty is the best for these reasons. The shield is amazing, i know its mobility is slow. I never retreat my russian arty. Once its up, its up. The chem shell is the strongest by far and kills anything with the special. Yes sometimes it glitches up but usually after the unit is already defeated. Same with the bumblebee. Russian arty smashes jsf arty easily even with the hits it takes to get in range.(ask der uri lol) Im not even ranked up all the way with my arty but all of them have double the defeats than games(one has 16 games 42 defeats lol). Jsf arty cant do that. My best jsf arty had 85 games and 105 defeats. Anybody that tries to kill against me as russia will lose blos tanks quick before they can dash(ask dragan s and asano2008 lol)

    In general SGB definitely.

But for artillery v. artillery battles EFEC has a edge up. Faster speed and higher shields lets them relocate and begin firing again and take less damage when rediscovered.

For destroying uplinks the JSFs range helps but the sheer damage output and hit points of the SGB ones easily take the position as best. Not to mention that fully upgraded they have only slightly less range than JSF and their secondary does ridiculous damage and is available from regular.

All artillery bugs up like that it's not exclusive to SGB.

The range difference between SGB and JSF artillery is minimal and SGBs high health is more than enough to survive and cover the distance. JSF really only has a range advantage againt EFEC artillery.

The thing you have to keep in mind with artillery is how you're using them. Each faction is best at what they use theirs for so its mainly a matter of strategic preference. I think from a functional stand point overall that EFEC artillery is the best and here are my three reasons as to why.

    1) SPEED, artillery in End War fires based off of distance and will engage 4 volleys at a time or as many vehicles as are in your unit. With that being said, EFEC artillery has movement speed of 3 so it not only rolls fastest but it will also engage faster from nonfiring to firing and volley faster because you'll have to be closer to your target to engage in the first place.

    2) RESPONSIBILITY, you don't get the most bang for your back with EFEC artillery out right and because they aren't a turtle faction you'll learn when to properly deploy your artillery as a result. Basically you wont see many good EFEC players wasting their 4th or 5th drops on artillery because it isn't functional to a strategy that early. What this does is remove wasted CP on artillery too early or too late in a game where other units could have been substituted with better results.

    3) DISCRETION, this kind of goes a long with my last point. Due to EFEC artillery's low attack range you'll be well within your opponents firing distance by the time you can engage their artillery, if you plan on going artillery on artillery which I wouldn't recommend. What this means is that you will learn very fast and most likely the hard way how to "hide" your artillery with extreme precision. Not only will you be able to keep your enemy from getting eyes on your artillery but you'll also be able to keep them from spotting them at all. Part of this goes along with learning when to deploy them and the other part is getting in range without being seen then engaging from that area undetected.

Once you learn to master the last two points I've made the first point becomes mute because the other two faction's artillery are far superior in fire power to not care about speed. However it is something to think about realizing that your volleys will come faster the closer to your target you are. Once you learn to responsibly deploy your artillery and how to "hide" them you'll get the most effect out of your pieces. Mastering these two practical aspects of your artillery will make you a force to be reckoned with as any faction.

I don't think I should have to mention this but I'll make a disclaimer just in case...When I say hide your artillery I don't mean sit in a corner of the map with BLOS tanks, transports, gun ships, and engineers sitting around it. I mean legitimately placing it behind trees, walls, in between buildings, etc.

Just my opinion on the whole artillery dispute. Like I said it depends on your play style and strategy because each artillery piece is the best at what it does. How well it does this depends on your ability to command it.
