Flat Green bowling or Lawn Bowls - depending on what country you live in.

For those that don't have a clue - you send a smaller bowl called a jack along the green and then try and put your bowls (which have a bias in them) closer than the opposing player(s). Our version is played on the 'flat' as opposed to Crown green bowling which is played on a green with a hump in the middle.

I originally thought it was an 'old man's game' and only started playing it because when I met my current wife she was very good at it. (She won a national title the day before we eventually got married). Now the bug has bitten and it is a major part of my life - during the summer I play at least 5 times a week and am a regular player in our County Team. Our club has installed a synthetic surface so now I play at least twice a week during the winter - and trust me it is outdoors and sometimes in the bitter cold winds I wonder why I am being such an idiot when I could be indoors playing Silent Hunter!!

Have got that involved that I now sit on my club executive committee and the same at the county level too.

Aside from that I have my keyboards ( piano style) and computing/gaming as hobbies as well. Being retired I am never short of something to do - in fact I have less time available than when I was working!!!

Nowadays during a quarantine, I have a lot of time to practice forgotten hobbies like guitar and drum playing. I also plan to finally record my song, gonna record all instruments by myself. But before that, I need some more practice with the drum, I even got myself a pair of drumming gloves like this for practice. I hope in a week or two I'll finally make it.
