So I got the New demo today, thanks to VistitJacutan.com here's my thoughts,

Well, because it's on the Xbox, it doesn't have that extensive free roaming of the PC, although the first time round when I played, I followed the games preset instructions, second time round I stole a boat and skipped some of the level, but to be honest, I enjoyed the PC version better, apart from that, the sand has this anoying glow, lol.

They changed quite alot, I don't like Dorff's voice as Jack, I prefered the PC guy's voice, and the new Val looks like a cheap ******, but what can you do. Although all the other new charactors look great especially Crow and Krieger, and the new features are pretty cool as for weapons I was really pissed when I found out they removed the Machette whats a jungle without a Machette? but thats the only weapon complaint I have the rest of they weapons changes make the game more realistic, and the new vechicles are amazing, they took out the buggy but I never really liked it anyway. I'm going to get this anyway but I hope they bring these new features to the PC in the addon, as for the story line, I liked the beginning of the PC version, although if they were to mix and match the two they could make something really amazing, I don't know the ending to FC:I, but I hope it's better than the PC version, **** that was such an anti-climax.


Vechicles in Demo:
The Driving is easy you just use the left thumstick, the Humvee handles really well but the boat feels alittle slow by alittle slow I mean like granny walking speed, as for shooting when in vehicles it's easy, you use the right thumbstick, you can only use one gun though from either the Primary or Secondary gun slot, if your duel wielding guns when you got into the vehicle then you get the other gun back out when you leave the vehicle, as for mounted guns, you can't use them while driving like the PC version, instead you have to press B to switch to the gun position, which I think is a good change.

Boat - You have to steal it if you want it but it's all part of the fun.
Humvee - The game has a preset sort of 'test,' drive for it.


The Button settings easy enough:

Right triggar = Shoot/Install trap
Left triggar = Throw Rocks/Grenades/Handbrake
Black Button = Toggle weapons/Traps
White Button = Toggle rock/Grenades
Right Thumbstick = Free Look/Click to enter zoom mode
Left Thumbstick = Movement/Click to Crouch/Click and hold to prone
A Button = Jump/Stand-up/Hold to roll onto back when proned
X Button = Reload/Action Button
Y Button = NOTHING (They only hand the standerd button setting so I don't know if you can choose from others)
B Button = Melee attack/Push Objects
D-pad up = Binoculars/push up agian to zoom in with Binoculars
D-pad down = Select special weapons(Rocket, sniper, etc)/zoom out with Binoculars
D-pad Right = Select Secondary weapon(pistols, etc)/press twice to duel wield
D-pad Left = Select Primary weapon(SMG, etc)/press twice to duel wield
Back Button = Objectives/Score in Multiplayer
Start Button = Menu


Ok some basic controles:

Guns - you use the D-pad to choose your weapon, press a direction on the D-pad twice to duel wield a corrasponing weapon(press right on the D-pad twice to duel weild Pistols press it again to put away the second pistol, etc, same for other weapons) you can carry x2 primary and secondary weapons, but 1 special weapon and your knife, as for traps, you have a limited number of them(20 tree branches, x claymores).

I am by no means a PC veteran, I've been raised on both consoles and PC. I know the value's of both gaming system but I prefer the indepth PC campaign mode's to console campaigning.

i like both pc and console but sometimes it depends on the game whether i like something. like couterstrike is easier for pc than xbox, and halo is easier for xbox, battlfield is kinda both for me. far cry not so sure yet. cuz my comp can barely run farcry demo for pc but and i cant seem to aim and shoot the guy at the same time. thats why i'm glad its for xbox
