First post and first thread but this is the only thing why I am here.

I am not here to rant just asking and find a answer.
Why they change the design of rayman's friends and foes in undetachables, where rayman still the old one with his detachable arms, head and foot but in Rayman 1 all characters was like that.

Why did they change that, in and after rayman 2? was there a bull fight in the studios? Was Michel Ancel bored of the designs?

Haha and you accuse me of being a horrible horrible troll.

In the original Rayman all characters were limbless. However I don't think that translated so well to 3d.

    Globox has always been legless.

Only reason they even did the limbless thing in the first place was because with limbs the game couldn't run on even the PS1 and Saturn back in the day, or something, plus it had like 65,000 colours so you can imagine how much graphic space that would take up.

Which I've always said is patently ******** as the core gameplay mechanic hinges around Rayman having detachable fists.

The telescopic fist is hardly the core gameplay mechanic. It wasn't used in Rayman 2 at all. Rayman 1 could easily have worked with the magic fist instead.

Actually it wouldn't have worked with the magic fist, because it doesn't come back to Rayman.

The telescopic fist in Rayman 1 shoots out and then comes back to Rayman. You need to do that to move on the plums and defeat the small Livingstones when they duck.

Why not? It would be very easy to give Rayman limbs and make the magic fist behave exactly like the telescopic fist.
