Dont you dare laugh... but, How do you take off!??? I know it sounds really dumb. I must be missing something major here or my games broken. My understanding was; set flaps, mix, power up to 100% and RELEASE brakes.. the 'b' key right? Well my plane just sits there, anyone know why?? Auto pilots not on of course.. this is just silly my plane dont wanna fly , maybe it wants to be a tank? Plse help.

And while you're assigning keys, map keys for "manual gear up" and "manual gear down", or your next question will be "Why can't I raise my landing gear?"
(if your flying the Wildcat that is. )
If your using a fighter (and not taking off from a carrier) then don't power yoru engine to 100% whilst still braking as you'll go nose over - power to 35% then release brakes and power up Remember that the brake key (default B) is only active for as long as its pushed down.
Yip cheers guys, Val (from Pacific fighters )
Youve helped me out and thanks. The Chokes need to be removed, I never guessed a game would have that much detail, awesome.
Hey thanks also for the heads up re the Wildcats. Did these only have hand risin' landing-gear!!?

Yes they did, if you look down to the right in the pit you will see a crank handle that will turn while you tap the keys for manual gear.
EDIT: What we forgot to mention is that you a have to hit the keys repeatetly until the landing gear is up, doing it once has little effect

Yup, and if you look down on the lower right of the cockpit, you can see the handle spinning as you raise or lower the gear.
