Unfortunately you can't load those offline-mode saves in online-mode just as you can not load online-mode saves while offline. They are completely incompatible and you must be in the corresponding mode to load either.
The explanation given is that the scripting and structuring of the saves is different in each mode. I imagine the game was not made so that Dynasty features such as artifacts and traits can be dropped in and out of your characters like that.

I'm having trouble with this also. It won't let me play in offline mode since it says it can't find the game until I log in (I have a digital download, although my game is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Might and Magic Heroes VI). If I log in first then disconnect it will let me play in offline mode. It would be nice to have it work in offline mode right away. If I lose the internet and can't log in then I lose access to the game. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Create a shortcut to the "Might & Magic Heroes VI.exe" file located in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Might and Magic Heroes VI"
Right click on the shortcut and click "properties. On the line that says "target" add " /offline" after the quotes. The path should look like the following:

This shortcut can be used to quickly launch the game in offline mode. Obviously this will only work on an already activated game - which yours is. It may not work with some versions though; I've heard mixed results creating shortcuts like that for the steam version.
