On the screen where you enter your Username/Password there's a tiny "Offline mode" button in the bottom right corner. If you default on the second screen (in case you've saved your user credentials) you'll have to logout first - this one is in the top right corner, same tiny font... You gotta know that you can't load games saved on conflux while offline though, only locally saved games workthen.

It's a shame really that I can't disconnect in game. I mean - reconnecting to conflux is possible, why should disconnecting via button be any problem? Although - thinking about it - the game loses connection to conflux so often, maybe it's a feature so you don't get additional disconnects...

I'm having trouble with this also. It won't let me play in offline mode since it says it can't find the game until I log in (I have a digital download, although my game is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Might and Magic Heroes VI). If I log in first then disconnect it will let me play in offline mode. It would be nice to have it work in offline mode right away. If I lose the internet and can't log in then I lose access to the game.

Unfortunately you can't load those offline-mode saves in online-mode just as you can not load online-mode saves while offline. They are completely incompatible and you must be in the corresponding mode to load either.

The explanation given is that the scripting and structuring of the saves is different in each mode. I imagine the game was not made so that Dynasty features such as artifacts and traits can be dropped in and out of your characters like that.

Create a shortcut to the "Might & Magic Heroes VI.exe" file located in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Might and Magic Heroes VI"

Right click on the shortcut and click "properties. On the line that says "target" add " /offline" after the quotes. The path should look like the following:

    <BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content"> "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Might and Magic Heroes VI\Might & Magic Heroes VI.exe" /offline </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

This shortcut can be used to quickly launch the game in offline mode. Obviously this will only work on an already activated game - which yours is. It may not work with some versions though; I've heard mixed results creating shortcuts like that for the steam version.

    AuhuaLover, jhwisner thanks!

I consider it's a big disadvantage of the game, that the modes are incompatible.

Has anyone experienced crashing in offline mode campaigns? I play online, but since you only get to be one player, my wife wanted to play offline. She played the tutorial campaign, but when she tries to load the Necropolis campaign, it quits out of the game entirely. I'm using Windows 7. Any help or insight would be appreciated. I don't like the game enough to plunk down another $50.00 just so we both can play.
