When it comes to game ideas it's a very dangerous situation to be in and you need to be incredibly careful. Ubisoft policy dictates we do not accept unsolicited game design ideas because of this and anything you email/mail into our offices is immediately deleted/throw away.
If you send us a game design idea and it just so happens we already have that idea and are implementing it, there could be all sorts of legal issues involved in that so we make a point of not accepting any ideas at all.
However, if you wish to pitch a game idea then I suggest meeting up with Ubisoft at a trade show where they have a stand - E3, GamesCom, GDC, that sort of thing. In your pitch you'd need to have a fully fleshed out game design document and production plan (including milestones and budget) and then they may take a look at it after signing waivers, NDA's and all sorts of legal stuff.
An alternative idea, like Kleaneasy said, is to get a job at Ubisoft and pitch internally but that's difficult in other ways.

well said. i wouldn't like game developers to create whole games based on ideas of a non-professional.Originally posted by UbiRazz:

however this doesn't mean ordinary people don't have good ideas that could be (partially) used.
small ideas like "having your gun collide with the walls" for example, could be very useful for the developers.
and the best thing about these small ideas is that they could easily be put into already existing projects (like Far Cry 3 for example).
Ubi should actually keep their eyes open for these good little ideas and suggestions.
the best thing about this is that Ubi isn't obligated to use these ideas.
they can just pick ideas they like and freely use it the way they want to.
this won't hurt Ubi but will rather help it.
Ah yes devoloping games for fans without actually knowing or getting an idea for what they want or dont want in the game is a great idea.If I was building somebody a multimillion dollar house I would just build it the way I wanted instead of asking how they would like it to be.After all, they are just the ones who will be paying for it so their opinion isnt important.
Whats wrong with what I said? I was replying to MrRandoms post and didnt quote him because I forgot.Since you brought research up. Judging by the way a lot of the games have turned out lately a random idea or two from a few fans that went straight to the trash would of been the closest thing to research these games wouldve seen judging by the way they turned out.Obviously all the games arent like this but too many are. Do you read all the forums? Not listening or having any form of dialogue with us is what they are best at aside from not supporting some of their games.I know this post is a bit much but the "Fantastic logic" in the end UbiRazz is the way a lot of these games are handled,or not handled.Originally posted by UbiRazz:

Fantastic logic there, Dirtymurph...
Do not go there Razz. Many of us here knows that Ubi does some research, but fails to give the fans what they want. It has happened to many times and is why many of us think that community idea threads are a waste of time as Ubi will create the game they want and not what the gamers want.Originally posted by UbiRazz:
