i have an idea for assassins creed 5 if they will be one after black flag. set it in modern day brazil in the favela and you and a few more assassins have been sent there to take out the templers because they have a strong presence there. the reason why it should be the favela is because they have small biuldings there and some with some roofs made out of scrap metal. just look at the a certain mission on max payne 3. it should be something like that. and you can get guns and attachments on there and a covering system. on previos assassins creed games like before the third, i never really liked the idea of guns but when you played as desmond when you infiltrated abstergo. and used that pistol. thats when i new that guns would be good on it. but you dont play as desmond, obviossly, you could just play as a really skilled assassin thats the 2nd in command or something.

I think I just realized why a lot of UBI games get a low rating from Gamespot. Probably because the games they make are influenced by the ideas of the populace?

No, it's probably because they get a brilliant idea and then make Fill-in-the-blank 2: insert-secondary-title-here, which turns out to be pretty crappy (Warrior Within, anyone?).

Yes, several people read the forums here and many other forums but a lot of people on here (yourself included, it seems) have a blind belief that these forums are the sole voice of gamers worldwide and Ubisoft should follow these posts exactly. The idea that the most vocal people online can guarantee a strong business in multiple countries and cultures is preposterous. This is why Ubisoft has a several full departments where research is done into exactly what gamers wants from games, all over the world. What works, what doesn't.

Using this information we make our games. Some of it will be in direct contradiction to the handful of fans who inhabit certain forums but we always ensure that what we're making hits something akin to a checklist of features that are required for the game to 'work'. This is why Ubisoft is successful with its brands and one of the largest games companies in the world.

Like I said earlier, we do read these forums - much like I'm doing right now - and we use what's said on here as another area of research. We have so many different ways to conduct our research in so many different groups of people around the world that to focus purely on the message from a few when everyone else says something else is wrong. We have some of the most talented and respected game designers in the industry and if they believe that X is the way forward and our research agrees with it, we'll do that. Even if you don't like it. Why? Because it's the right thing to do for the brand, the game, the company and gamers out there who want an amazing experience.

I Don't want you to take my idea or anyone else's idea and throw it into some crap you've made. We have some pretty cool ideas for a whole game and you should really look into it! I think some of us are actually smarter but don't want to get into the gaming business because we have to survive and feed families and go about our lives ! So we pitch our ideas hoping and making ourselves sick hoping someone will notice and take the wonderful idea of a game we have and do something amazing with it!!!!!!

To some extent I feel your rage here ...
It's frustrating as hell when companies take this approach and don't even give you a means to do it right.

Personally, I'd like to see a mechanism somewhere for putting ideas in to a pot, and then the community can vote for interest in the pot which Ubi can then take on as a conceptual idea and discuss internally if they would like to build the idea from the pot.
When an idea is determined as being valuable in some way (uniqueness, possibility, similar to corporate goals / brand image in some way, ect, ect) the proposer of the idea is then approached with a contract.

There is seemingly no platform out there to do that and so we end up with the same crap from the same people year in year out based on "market research" which is a nice way of saying "we asked some specific questions that resulted in answers either way we knew we could build quickly and cheaply but took the advice of our customer base".

I have a truely unique concept for a game that I believe requires current tech to even work (I doubt it's even been possible until now) and I don't even have a place to post my idea to the world unless I'm asking for money.

I looked at Kickstarter.com and similar sites (very cool by the way) but they assume I'm asking for funding to build my game myself, I wouldn't mind being part of it but I clearly lack the technical skills required to make it happen.
Unless I ask for funding to get another game dev company to build it for me on kickstarter ...

... hmmm ...

Wait how much do I need again?
I bet no one from Ubi would like to quote a day rate to hire a dev team for a project I own?

Hi I was just wandering since yous made South Park Stick of truth on Pc/Xbox360 and playstation3 would it be cool if ubisoft company creaters of south park stick of truth to also make the game on Xbox 1, and Playstation4 consoles thanks. Cause than this game will get preety popualer cause a lot of people do want it on these consoles thanks. I hope this gets high up on the board for the creators to see so like it.
