    i understand keeping course is easy with talking instruments

    but i saw him on tv making a perfect land solo on a narrow runway

    how did he manage?

    The seat has electrodes controlled by the particular airport's ILS system. If the pilot deviates too far from the glide-slope he receives a series of violent electric shocks to correct his course.
