Was wondering if this was good and too much for a 260 lb., 48 yr old female who hasn't exercised in a very, very long time? Any help would be appreciated.

    Hey why not!

Before commencing any exercises on the game it does a fitness assessment and designs your program based on your fitness results. Any exercise is better than no exercise and this might be the perfect way for you to start in the privacy of your own home! What are you waiting for- today is the beginning of the rest of your life.

Please remember however to consult your doctor before starting any exercise program

I agree with R4CH. You got to start somewhere. I have just got this game for Christmas. I have friends with the Wii Fit and they don't stick with it. You could try to pick up one of those used and try it out since the Wii Fit seems to be lower impact. The Your Shape game is not very expensive and if you have a Wii or even a computer, it's worth a try. I'm using it from the standpoint that I need to 'get moving' and augmenting it with treadmill or outdoor walks. If it frustrates me too much, I won't use it. I've ignored the camera issues and the constant arm correction pleas. I believe it has some merit and I'm willing to give it a try. What do you have to lose?

No, not too much. I am also in the obese boat and when you set up your fitness level profile (automatically when you start it out) you tell it that you are sedentary.

I too am overweight and have not exercised in a good while. So, I think that this will be a great start for me to get my booty into shape.

Your Shape is great for someone who is out of shape. I'm male but I'm around the same weight. I have a Blog tracking my Your Shape Progress and weight loss efforts. Check it out and maybe you could see if you think you'd like it!

I too am overweight and was getting annoyed at what she thought I could so even though Imarked sedentary. We actually made up a new profile that had me weighing close to 400 lbs and 73 years old and it gave the exact same exercise as my 10 year old daughter who weights about 60 lbs. So, it doesn't really matter what you put in there.
