Three major things, i really, really hope you have a go at implementing these, they make the game lack like you wouldnt believe.
Physicalised items syncing to clients/host.
Events/ timers syncing right (not changing sync to host/client)
Automatic doors, or doors at all really, they simply dont work on the dedicated, and they should :P
~edit: *jumps on the bandwagon* Yes auto DL of maps is crutial, even if the server has to zip and send, then client unzips??
I beg of you all, implement these things! more gametypes would be fun, but it would just spread the players over yet more servers/gametypes.
We need gameplay aspects....
Basically i have a invested interest in seeing these things ingame, ive spent ages and ages on an all indoor map that i would like to physicalise almost every item on again, also i use automatic door and timers/events to lock it.![]()
I would of liked a larger player count. Simple as that.
Far Cry has the perfect engine and perfect large scale maps for a massive number of players. Imagine 100 or even 60 players on a mp map like mp_dam.
I really liked assault. It slowed down the gameplay but that didn't take away from the gameplay. It made you think more, move more tacticly to capture a flag and/or defend it.
I would of liked a objective type gameplay. For instance you have to escort a armored vehicle to a location, or you have to steal a crate of gold from somewhere and bring it to another location (Wolfenstien:Enemy Territory-ish).
and just wondering, what happened to the other thread about hardware feedback, and who are the winners?
"And player speed is unrealisticly fast."
okay kid. ive been playing fps' since doom, and multiplayer online since quake1, and i can tell you the best competitive fps' arent realistic. remember how when quake2 came out, they tried to slow rocket speed to make it more realistic and noob-friendly? it destroyed the function of the gun, one of the most utilized guns in quake1. making things realistic almost guarantees a taking a hit in fun factor.

Ghost Recon? Counter Strike? COD? MOH? Splinter Cell? BF 1942? Apperently you missed those games.
@ Geiger.
We could also have used a more accurate scoring system. The balance between kills, and building things is a little skewed... I would have recomended a FarCry Official Stats. Also, points based on how few / many shots it took to kill opponent. Points based on weapons, like more points for killing to people w/ one frag, than 2 people w/ seperate frags...

I would have to agree. Most (if not all) of the Multiplayer games that I enjoy would give me a great deal more enjoyment if I didn't get interupted just to have to go and hunt down and install a custom map. Then by the time I finally find it, download it and install it, the map is over with and I am feeling no joy. AUTO-DOWNLOAD PLEASE!! Half-life had it, Unreal Tournament had it, and it was GREAT! This is the one and only thing that I really wish Far Cry Multiplayer could do. Other than that, I am pleased with 1.3 single and multiplayer.
