Did you know that the flag painted on the Bismarck's bow was the swastika, not the Maltese Cross? Neither was the battle ensign? If you folks are trying to get into realism, do it right. The battle ensign you're representing belongs in the First World War, not the Second. All of the major capital warships like Tirpitz and Bismarck had the Nazi flag painted on the bow. Maybe to scare the bejesus out of the captain that if he failed, not to come home.

    Hi

    I have some questions please?

    1. Why can't I pre-order the Collector's Addition in the USA? I have been waiting to jump back into my U-Boat for over a year because SH3 will not work and is not supported on Vista (64bit).. There isn't a fix. So for me, SH5 for Vista SHOULD fix my U-Boat itch.

    2. Will there be a demo for SH5 soon? It is less than a month until release date. Its unusually quiet here in the USA about SH5.

Thank you in advance for answering

    one more on camera settings;
is there an option included to have an outside folowing view (incl. closer/further higher/lower and angle)fixed to the sub instead of a possition on the water that enables the player to "stick" with the sub rather than having to move with it using the contols?
i like to sit back and just look at my sub while i'm on the big empty ocean

For the sake of Historical realism please finally depict the swastika on all german flags , emblems , medals , uniforms and anywhere it could be found at the time.Ive been playing silent hunter since the first game came out and Im sick and tired of this swastika phobia. If there are Law problems then have an ingame option so as the player can select to view the swastika or not.In my country Greece it is legal to have the swastika portayed. It is a Historical symbol and its nothing new.The ancient Greeks carved swastikas in marbel more than 2000 years before the existance of Nazi germany.Showing that simple black cross is not historically correct and greatly diminishes the historical accuracy as well as the authentic feeling that a game such as Silent hunter is supposed to provide.

If the damage model of ships include the following:
    - Much rapid fires, and in several places simultaneously if the ship is under artillery fire (war ships against war ships stands)
    - The ships do not sink so quickly in artillery battles
    - Sinking war ships lose their turrets

Did the ubisoft team ever visit Chicago's Museum of Science & Industry?
The U-Boat U505 is on display there. Ever since I was a kid I loved to take the tour. I still do. Now with Silent Hunter 5 I will be able command my own.
I recommend to Silent Hunter fans in the U.S.A. to try and make the trip and tour a real U-Boat.
Also an American WWII sub the USS Siversides SS-236 ,a Gato class, can be toured. She is docked in Muskegon MI. at the Great Lakes Naval Museum. This is another must see all fellow Silent Hunters

I think u are right.(Sostos, + ego eimai ellinas kai exo tin apopsi sou ) or put in game an option to disable them. It came into my mind the airport mission in MW2. As what you will do tehre migh tbe offensive or too violent fo russians so there is the option to skip the mission.

I get a pleasure when I play in Silent Hunter 3, because there has qualitative sound effects, qualitative textures of u-boots and Germans, who look like a Germans (I mean clothes, faces and voices).

I would like to hear screaming people from a sinking ship (like the movie "Das Boot").
I don't like some guy's face, who look at me from the periscope (this is in your dynamic campaign trailer). In the periscope must be enemy ships, I think.

    Thx

A lot of countries have laws against the use of Swastikas. Implementing them in SH5 would mean they cannot release the game in said countries.
