First of all, it does say what you need to do. Try re-reading the step. Secondly, ask your question with more information. Thirdly, however, nobody is going to want to respond if you keep being rude and harsh and demanding things. And then assuming and guilt-tripping is just making it worse on your part.

I do feel guilty for demanding things from you. How can taking a guilt trip possibly make things worse? Everyone feels guilty sometimes. And I did read the challenge. I said I needed to ask a fashion designer for some white argyle preppy socks. It said so. But I'm not sure if the socks have to made by the designer or if the designer can buy them and give them to the dancer. Sure, it says what i need to do, but not very clearly. Besides, no designer I know can make that pattern, if there is one. You have every right to disparage me, but please, you've got to help me! I can't do this alone!

1. It is one of the earlier patterns so I don't know why you can't find anyone.
2. You have a few options of what you can do:
---A. Find someone to make them and gift them to you.
---B. Make them yourself, gift them to another fashion designer, then have them gift them back to you (when you get back to that point in the quest).
---C. Have someone buy them (or you buy it and gift it to them) and then have them gift it to you.

I never thought of that last one. I guess it is possible.

DramaMama17. This is how to complete that step

Ask a designer for a pair of white argyle preppy socks. You CAN'T make them. You have to buy them from Sofia Ferari. Ask the designer to buy a pair and give them to you Also, (just a little extra) give them something nice in return since it cost 25 of their coins

Should I make them a dress from the design table? It would be like trading. I would gt the socks I need and the designer would get a special dress in exchange.
