How cool is it to be a 40 something Father of a 21 year old daughter when she brings the boyfriend home for the fist time. I say nothing but stare a lot. As they are about to go I say to him (with suitable understated menace):
"Boy! You touch her and I will hunt you down like the dog you are."
He near wet his pants, she is home by 12 but he gets to call again. Next time he calls me Sir. I tell him (with suitable understated menace again):
"I am not a Sir, I work for a living."
He has her home by 12 again. I never said what time to have her home...
This one has promise...

I sometimes worry what girlfriends they'd bring home. When my eldest was 9, another girl came to 'play'. I just smiled at his embarrisment, and you should have seen his MOTHER when I told her that they had closed the bedroom door=> She was in there like a shot.
